  • Yup same in India and Pak. In my opinion recommendable, boys shouldn't be put through such a pain once they are elder.
Ahh cool, we don't have such celebrations, I know some Turks/Arabs have these huge circumcision celebrations, the boys are gifted SO MUCH.
Yes Islamophobia is increasing, that idiot Thilo Sarrazin, some German wannabe politician wrote a very offensive book where he came up with theories concerning the genes of Jews and Muslims and how immigrants were responsible for this and that in Germany. A big blabla, however he sold enough of them.
Kuri means girl in Punjabi. So if you translate my name it becomes "Confused Girl". :) My first name is far away from what "kuri" sounds like :p
I'm from India :) well ERM Muslims here in Germany are often subject to a lot of stereotypes, at the same time they often prove these stereotypes to be true, there's quite a movement of orthodox folks over here.
Then you're like me I guess, I'm looking into Sufism now, the interpretations of Sufi leaders etc. I was once orthodox and it almost killed my humanity.
OK I don't know a lot about Judaism, apart from the fate Jewish people met over here, but I am not familiar with the belief system, but it is nice to see you know what direction you're following :)
Interesting, I too see afterlife as a reunion with God. :) btw how come you started to appreciate Judaism after your love for Sikhism? feel free to PM me. :D yes I realise now that my relationship between Allah swt is something I can define for myself I need no religious leaders to tell me what it should be like :)
I know Sikhism quite well, but I always feel it is a mixture of Hinduism and Islam, even some of my Sikh friends confessed that to me, I hold a great respect for the gurus though, they stood for justice during a time when the mughals were abusing their powers.

Buddhism yeah I'll look into it, actually I like Islam, I just don't get a long with extreme interpretations of it :S
Well I've done that, though I should really check out that Mahayan Buddhism, I have a problem with the idea of heaven and hell as most Muslims see it. How do you see it? BTW nice to see you came to appreciate Judaism.
Ahaha maybe? kinda. I dunno tbh. I believe Islam can offer me a great many things but I'm no orthodox muslimah.
I'm very happy about it, since things where going to escalate rather badly if he didn't. Thank god he's gone. I also wanted him to go from the beginning, and joined in the protests, but it didn't matter to me whether he left now or at the end of his term. But like i said an advantage of him leaving now is the avoidance of the escalation of the situation.
