  • More like unaffiliated... especially when I hold pretty divergent views, although they would be closest to the Church of Christ (Temple Lot) in the Latter Day Saint movement. Also, I am still exploring my beliefs, because I do have lots of appreciation for Islam and Judaism, and I hope to learn more about them one day too.
I call myself that because I am (at least due to the pressure of my boyfriend) a Latter Day Saint. Anyone who believes in the Restoration / Latter Day Saint movement is a Latter Day Saint. The "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" is only one issue from this movement, albeit the largest. All Mormons are Latter Day Saints, but not all Latter Day Saints are Mormons. :D And "lite*" because well, it's less fat. :D
Sure thing. Would you prefer on RF chat or the other one? Not at home so no skype. :-/

Ravens are above the sectarian divisions of man!

    No. ;)

Oh, the 18 religious sects are officially recognized. How about the ones that aren't? :D
We've got around 18 religious sects. It was worth a shot.

How dare you! And to think you call yourself my father!
Such an exclusive club: they don't even allow converts.

No, I'm not. ;) It would be nice to have a representative on RF, though.
I've been good, haven't been active here lately. I'm a little busy with university.

    How have you been?
Conservative, but the synagogue is fairly liberal. It's the only one in the county, so it has to accommodate everyone.
Going fine, just slow. The rabbi started a 2-year conversion/adult B'nai Mitsvah class, but it meets when my university classes are in session. I need to see if I can work out a different schedule with him, but time is tight with family, work, and school.

    Thanks for asking! :)
I do... but I prefer to link something and let people discover and come back with questions based on their own perceptions rather than, me telling you what I think you ought to know.

There is also some info in the 'Buddhist DIR' and other Buddhist here might have some intel as well. Although, I can sometimes see how it's intimidating to open up to the board on 'considering faiths' matters.... And maybe you don't want that hassle, so on that note, feel free to continue this conversation with me.

Here is a good 6 part talk:

Just follow the links through the parts.
