Then you will be impressed with langar. They serve Indian food there (free). All vegetarian so anyone can eat it, but Indian food is excellent vegetarian food.

Speaking of the Hindu and Buddhist centres, there is a street I call 'Dharmic Way' D) because it has a Hindu mandir, a Buddhist temple AND a Gurdwara on it.

Next to the Hindu mandir is a McDonalds
Next to the Buddhist centre is a KFC
Next to the Sikh temple is a car shop

I feel closest to Sikhism though, I think.

Since we have a large (about 14% of my city) population of Sikhs in my city, this would probably be good. There's only one Hindu temple in my city I know of, and it's a bit far away for me.

On my street (effectively) are two churches and a Sikh temple, down the road from one of the churches is a mosque, and going 5 minutes left from the one Sikh temple leads to another Sikh temple. I'm spoilt for choice!

I like Taoism a lot, but I don't think it's personally for me (although, like Buddhism, Ásatrú, Hinduism, Sikhism and Christianity, Taoism will also hold a special place in my heart), but if you feel it's right for you, I urge you to keep on reading into it

Maybe it's because it's new to them and they don't know what to expect. It's a human reaction to something new.
