  • Hey YmirGF, long time no see...Took a break for a long while...Just checking back in to see how this place is going now. How ya been?X
By the way i would like to apologize for being sometimes too touchy when it comes to such topics, i really don't mean to. Your opinions are ones to be discussed not to get mad at. You don't become closed minded when discussing such issues, so i'm really sorry for becoming touchy on occasions where i shouldn't have.
    Thank you,

If you mean for example that i didn't emphasize or speak of some other muslims who hold disturbing opinions and so on, thats because i was basically trying to tell you about other types of muslims, i know you're very familiar with those ones. So, i was more aiming to show different types of muslims. The average or normal types, who don't have these kinds of aspirations for different reasons.
My take on karma, Luis, is that the weird extrapolations are a natural result of an unsound concept. If there is, in fact, "no self", how exactly is it that ones "self" be affected by karma? If self is an illusion, it follows that karma itself is an illusion. In my view, the two concepts are diametrically opposed to each other. I don't blame Buddha. I blame his less than enlightened followers. :)
I would say that Karma is over-valued and usuaily extrapolated in weird ways. Do you believe that weirdness to be inherent to the doctrine, or to some form of it?
    Friend YmirGF,
Thanks for your message. Being a novice and no training in any school can/shall offer whatever is possible.
    Love & rgds
It's difficult because i want to meditate. I agree with Shankara's ideas. I just love Shri Vishnu so much. I guess i'm one of those rare Advaitin Vaishnavas. :D So i'm hoping that somehow i can obtain some sort of guidance through REF and start meditation.
Lol I'm a beginner myself. I've been a Bhakta of Lord Vishnu for a long time but have always had problems learning how to meditate. So i'm not sure how much of a help i can be.
I don't know, Dan. It might take some effort to make my observations less than incendiary to our sensitive RF Muslims.
Hey Paul, just wanted to remind you of thread 'A daily dose of Orientalism', in case you feel that you have an input to get it going.
