The best of relationship is, no doubt, the relationship of friendship. But it appears that, in today's world, you have to cultivate friendship, otherwise friends are lost. So we feel the need to keep in touch. Also, friends can be useful. So we have what is called networking, partying, sending seasonal greetings, celebrating events together . . . Alas, I am not onto all that. I believe in friendship, but I feel socializing is something else. Therefore I am somewhat of a recluse, by choice. I believe, more than have friends, we ought to be friendly in nature. Then friendship would not be reduced to an insurance-policy-relationship - someone there to help me when I need help. We would be ever ready to help, not on the basis of any relationship, but by virtue of our friendly nature. Such a friendly nature comes naturally to a person who has no burdens, who is totally free - a spiritual person.
I am happy we are friends. Your words are always words of light.
