When you use the term "Pigeon Chess", do you mean it in the same way as "Religious Trolling"?

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Most people kinda need eyes to see with and flesh to feel with. What are you talking about?

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

If we want to understand the concept of "God" we must use words. If we want to understand each other about ANY concept, unfortunately, we cannot GO "past" the words. That's all we got to communicate complex concepts with. I like going to churches with wonderful art and look at that. I love...

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Ok, That's interesting. Those characteristics are anthropomorphisms. When we ascribe HUMAN characteristics to a concept, like "thinking" and "feeling", for example, we are anthropomorphizing the concept. Feelings are what humans have. Does your God have a human body to feel with, or a brain...

Ok, fair enough, but do you ascribe to it any human characteristics?

But I suppose other kinds of anthropormophisms are.

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

For once, I find myself in perfect agreement with you. I most certainly cannot "falsify" your belief. Maybe I could if I had a mind reading machine... The only thing that we CAN falsify are truth claims that we can verify with facts. For that, we would have to look at the facts, not a...

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Some people turn to drink when they have lost. If you think that not being able to falsify a hypothesis makes it more likely true, you are wrong. If you can't allow that anything can disconfirm your belief, this is evidence of a closed mind, not that your belief is in any way real. :)

If I write a limerick to disprove evolution really quick It's going to be a clever trick I'm just having trouble making it stick

    Evolution and Creationism: because ...

The same can be said for every person who is completely closed minded and stubborn. You'd rather be "put to death" than admit that you might be wrong. You expect other people to change their mind, but you won't do it yourself. You total inability to acquire new information isn't convincing...

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Well, from my experience, creationists are all over the map. What they usually lack is a good idea about what the ToE is supposed to be. I usually have to contend with very strange ideas about what it MEANS. They usually just get it wrong. They get the science wrong. And they aren't too good at...

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Do you imagine the "Mitrochondrial Eve" to be the ONLY living female of her time, or do you believe that the "Eve" of the Bible were numerous? http://www.mhrc.net/mitochondrialEve.htm And why is it that we should CARE about a particular holy book's opinion as to scientific concerns? Religion...

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

Replying to Thief.. post number 4468596 You wrote a lovely poem, but if you offer it as some kind of evidence for creationism, you are truly misguided. It's a nice poem. But it's just full of factual errors and argument from ignorance. Saying that you have an argument from ignorance isn't...

    Verifiable evidence for creationism?

One of the problems with the word evolution is that it can be applied to anything that changes and NOT just biology. Some people will conflate meanings ... But when it comes to the ToE, we mean to say changes in BIOLOGY not anything else. :)

    Evolution and Creationism: because ...

You are correct. If you don't want to change your mind, nothing anyone says will convince you of anything. Others who read this exchange aren't necessarily so closed minded. :)

    Evolution and Creationism: because ...

We are entitled to our opinions. But some opinions about how the world works are based on observing nature, not theology. And he also said in the same paper: " We must distinguish between the fact of evolution -- defined as change in organisms over time -- and the explanation of this change...

Being closed minded like that will make it sure that you don't learn anything that you don't like. So..... I guess you're done debating with people who don't agree with you, right? Maybe you'd rather debate with people who will always agree with you, but that's hardly going to convince anyone...

Well, I don't accuse you of being logically consistent. By your way of thinking, you sure don't get yourself into a lot of trouble, do you? :)

    Evolution and Creationism: because ...

What "scientific evidence" are you talking about? The "scientific evidence" supports evolution, that's why we HAVE ToE in science, not creationism, after all. And you forgot to answer the question. Do you think that an all-powerful creator god could NOT create life by way of evolution and that...

Yeah, usually my opinions have nothing to do with other people's opinions.
