If my maths is correct 6000/365 = 16.5 years. But the Earth formed 4.5 bln years ago and the big bang was 13.7 bln years ago. So what occured in 16.5 years?
The problem if you translate it as ages then it doesnt make sense .
If I asked you when a project was going to be finished and I said 6 days, 6 weeks, 6 years, 6 decades... all of these make sense. If its an undetermined period of time such as it will take ages , then one wouldn't specifiy 6 of...
Really do you have any data to back up your conentetion. I think the data says the opposite:
Nature, "Leading scientists still reject God"* July 23, 1998
Note the conclusions
"Our latest survey finds that, among the top natural scientists, disbelief is greater than ever almost total."
Thansk you for promising to take the time to look into evoluiton.
I would reccomend this book that is often over looked, its short, but very informative and take a different track to most other books on the subject:
The Relics of Eden: The Powerful Evidence of Evolution in Human DNA...
If you read Einstein proprely his defintion of religion was a sense fo wodner of the cosmos. he clearly stated he didn not believe in a personal god.
Examples:
"It seems to me that the idea of a personal God is an anthropological concept which I cannot take seriously. I feel also not able...
of course macro evolution can be tested. Searching for a chromosne fusion site was a test of the macro evolution, we did the test it passed. Sorry.

Idea, you posted this on another thread and I challenged you on it.
Instead of responsing you simply reposted the same piece in another thread. Thats pretty lame .
Anyway here is my reposnse again:
The fine tuning argument is a pile of BS and here are a few reasons why:
1. the assumptions that...
The odds of specifying a card being dealt from a random deck of cards of 52 to 1. If i specified it before the event and got it right , you would have something to explain. After the events, there's nothing to explin, some event had to happen. All fo the cards had a 52 to 1 chance and one of...
The fact that you have one friends who is a scientist does not outweigh the fact that polls of top scientisst show they overwhelmingly reject notions of a personal god.
Nature, "Leading scientists still reject God"* July 23, 1998
The fine tuning argument is a pile of BS and here are a few reasons why:
1. the assumptions that life cannto arise under such and such a conditions assume we know all the possibilities of life. In fact we have only one data point : Earth, we have no idea what life may look lik elsewhere in the...
Im not sure the point of the excercise would be to get the money it would be to show that there is a real phenemenon.
If the statistical effect is insignificant, it stay insignificant. There can any number of reason of getting positive results in these types of studies, including publication...
What thhe PEar people claim ia that they could influence a machine that produces random numbers, thats exactly what slots do in vegas, thats what Roulette wheels do. In a bais c statistisc class you are taught that if the effect size is too small to notice, its not likely to be real effect.
It might be better to read the entire wikilink here that you posted:
dont you think this aspect is telling:
"These tiny deviations from chance have failed to convince mainstream scientists who feel that the effect is inconsistent and that relatively few negative studies would cancel it out.[4]...
An infinite time does not make god probabale. this would only be the case if we knew there was finite probability of occurence. Since we dont know that your statement cannot be supported by probability theory . The problem is not really complex. Its simple, there is no evidence for god, so why...
I dont agree , the multuverse is becoming more popular amongst physicicsts becuase cosmological inflation imlies it and there is good evdience for inflation . I dont think Barrow and Tipler are not taken very seriously by most physcists whereas the diea of Guth and Vilenkin etc are taken...
Please provide a reference where Hawking said there were seven dimension.
I have no problem with questioning everything, but in the absence of contravening evidence, we have to go with the evidence in hand. Should we throw out every criminla becuae there are occasional miscarraiges of justice?
Shadow wolf, the examples you give are irrelevant. First off, I dont recall Stephen Hawking ecver saying there were 7 dimension, pleae prividde a reference. It seems unlikely to me becuase extra dimension is implied by string theory and Stephen hawking is not a string theorist. re Pluto this was...
You assume that eevryhting has to have a cause. This is not supported by physics. In Quantum mechanics events can occur wihtout a casue. I know this goes against your common sense notions and so it is hard to accept. but a read a book on quanutm mechanics and see the evidence for yourself.
As...
