Let's say your death would be very gruesome, and after you physically died you would experience more intense spiritual suffering than you could imagine.
Your death and suffering would renew Earth and it's resources, cause worldwide peace and open the eyes of humanity to God's presence on Earth.
Not from Buddha, but from a Buddhist:
"Mere suffering exists, no sufferer is found;
The deeds are, but no doer of the deeds is there;
Nibbāna is, but not the man that enters it;
The path is, but no traveler on it is seen."
Why should Jesus have to die for my sins, shouldn't I die for my own sins? In a hostile universe that's relatively impersonal, how can anything else make sense?
There have been many martyrs throughout history. Aren't all of them Christ's as well?
For all I care we are all Christ. We are all...
How do you all feel about Jesus then? His crucifixion can be considered suicide because he had a choice in the matter. He literally chose to die, so why is this so shocking in the cosmic scheme of things?
Edit : Crucifixion is as natural as rainfall in the cosmos.
I don't feel as though it is suicide but rather God working through me to kill myself. They say God works through His creation so how could I be steered wrong? God is both good and evil.
As of late I have been feeling compelled by God to die as a sacrifice. I can't claim what compels me, instinct, intuition, love. My death would be quite brutal and it's terrifying.
I am fearful of death but if God is commanding it surely it must be what needs to be done?
Would you be willing...
