What if your own personal notion of Heaven was real?

IN Hinduism, sometimes the idol (murti) is regarded as the deity. An eternity of this, no thanks: Same goes for the Sikh gurus, and the 'alter Christus'...

This is for Allah ----- stupid!

Stupidity? Sounds very, atheist, no offence meant. Why not soulless, impious etc. They're more categories a Muslim would relate to anyway. People, black or white are no better, except in piety and good deeds... IQ sounds more and more like a capitalist construct, for the purpose of making money.

    answers about morality?

oo I'm asking you to be logical, analytic, to link the definition of murder to one of wrongness. In a way that shows every murder, every possible case, is always wrong. You may argue "all harm to humans is bad" and "all bad things are wrong" for instance. Ok, I am not actually trying to promote...

    answers about morality?

Whats an unbiased mind? The very nature of sentience is bias - it gets a job done. The concept of an unbiased mind is like an unbiased hand, or any other adaptation - null and void. The only things without bias are rocks and stones.

This is for Allah ----- stupid!

Was discussing "bismillah" (in the name of Allah) over the last couple of days. IMO name is meant to also imply reputation etc. So doing something in the name of Allah who has "al asma al husna" or 99 good/beautiful names, implies honouring that name. You cant consistently say "bismillah"...

    If science was a religion

Science is a religion, its part of a way of binding to reality. Its a form of harnessed relaity we use to climb Mount Improbable. Etymology of religion: "Modern scholars such as Tom Harpur and Joseph Campbell favor the derivation from ligare "bind, connect"," - Wikipedia

Evolution, violence and the existence of God

Evolution theory happened, we responded by denying the created "higher self" (spirit, soul) and seeing humanity as animals, but we are evolved to treat dehumanised people badly, thus making violence more likely.... (?)

    answers about morality?

I believe you have to prove that "murder is wrong" is a tautology. Then, and only then can you show a priori there are no exceptions to the rule murder is wrong. I think murder is not "wrongful killing of a person" but "unlawful killing of a person". So we need one more premise, at least, and...

The Law of Cause and Effect.

Three are deductive nomological laws (eg. if I drop the apple it will fall, this can be deduced from gravitation) and inductive statistical laws (there are storm clouds, so probably it will rain).

Not sure where to go from here? (questioning my religion)

I view faith, even atheism, as ways of binding to reality - a link through beliefs and actions. Religio - possibly meaing to bind IIRC - is the root of the term religion. Linking to reality is called "structural coupling" by biologists afaik, like a train has couples to the rest of the...

    answers about morality?

What about: for any morally relevant situation, additional information may lead to a change of opinion, therefore there is never sufficient information for a perfect opinion, as there may always be more information forthcoming. Daleks replace Jesus in paintings and Cornwall goes crazy

    YEC vs OEC

I am an H-D truth pluralist. Like x-aletheism. (x is a variable, aletheism relates to truth). AKA sitting on the fence. So there is a hyperspace of metaphycical realities: Evolution, YEC and OEC are all possible, and each one valid under certain interpretive rubrics but unprovable absolutely...

Other Than "The Bible Tells Me So," Your Single Best Argument for Creationism

Ok youre obviously more advanced in these topics than I am, so peace. It was just an improvised attempt as a case for creationism. Not something a have deep faith in.

Other Than "The Bible Tells Me So," Your Single Best Argument for Creationism

IMO creationism was the best bet till Darwinism came along. We are complex creatures, and experience shows they don't just pop into existence. That's why I questioned Darwinism by trying to present geological time as an illusion. AFAIK B-series time is fairly respectable, its not total hogwash...
