Congratulations to Britain and Keir Starmers Labour party

No doubt, just give it three and-a-bit years. That tends to be the case in parliamentary democracy.

    Why the double standard?

Agreed. Now, about your specific claims about Maidan being a US-backed coup...) Yes. Vague. Got anything else? Even got a source for this quote so that I see the surrounding context? Almost as if you're not reading what I wrote. Read it again. No you don't. You're a conspiracist who goes...

    Why the double standard?

Believe it or not, I am fully aware of America's history of meddling with - and outright overturning - democracies around the world, its horrible exploitation and mishandling of the third world and eastern Europe, and the negative impact of American hegemony. Also believe it or not, just...

    Why the double standard?

Noooo, I've never heard of them. GASP! The US were involved in clandestine and underhanded political operations in and around Europe following the cold war?? Well, blow me down. Whoever would have thunk it?? I notice a distinct lack of any actual evidence of any US involvement in Maidan and...

    Why the double standard?

Why should that be a factor in whether or not arming them against a foreign invasion is the right thing to do? Especially when joining NATO was very much being considered by the most recent government? By "a big Nazi presence" you mean "some Nazis who operate in militias". They'd just elected a...

    Why the double standard?

Since 1991. https://ua.usembassy.gov/our-relationship/ Very confident. And even if they weren't, the central point stands: it's simple logic that providing arms to one group under one set of circumstances can be justified while providing arms to another group under another set of circumstances...

    Why the double standard?

You don't see a difference between supplying arms to an allied country in order to help defend itself against invasion by a significantly more powerful neighbour hoping to spread their influence in Europe, and providing arms to a governmental regime that is actively using those arms to commit...

    Why the double standard?

It wasn't a coup, and it wasn't propped up by either the EU or US. Hundreds of protesters died protesting against the Yanukovych government and its ties to Russia, and to have the total lack of respect, decency and honesty to portray their revolution and ousting of that government as a "coup" is...

    Immigration National Emergency

Who are the victims, broadly speaking, of illegal immigration? Then target human traffickers, sex criminals, smugglers, drug runners and exploiters. What's bizarre about your post is that you go on about how illegal immigrants are criminals who should face the "natural consequences of their...

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

This really isn't a word game, it's incredibly basic. You made an argument about what is or isn't considered "normal", and another poster pointed out that what's "normal" and what's "uncommon" are often conflated, and that what you determine to be "normal" isn't objective. Why don't you...

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

Gee, that depends how you are defining "normal". Y'know, the thing you keep not doing.

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

Are you not reading what I have written four times now? Women need medical treatment. Are women normal? No, you can tell me. I'm asking what YOU mean. I can't Google your brain. Tell me what you mean.

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

How are you not getting this despite the fact that I've explained in three times? It doesn't matter whether it affects you medically or not. Also, being trans doesn't necessarily affect you physically, mentally or even psychologically any more than being left-handed necessarily does. Also...

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

I've said three times now that I am not asking with regards to medical, psychological or physical impairment. Do you believe it is, broadly speaking, NORMAL to be left-handed or not? In what sense is high blood pressure "not normal"? Can you explain to me what "normal" means in this context?
  15. ImmortalFlame

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

Not what I asked, and I have already said repeatedly that whether or not it produces any mental, medical or physical issues is irrelevant. I asked if it was normal. Is being left-handed normal?
  16. ImmortalFlame

It's simple! (to be or not to be revisited)

So, on the one hand, you acknowledge that what they said are facts, and understand their argument, yet you contend that she is not using an approach that "includes mutual understanding and respect"? If so, then in what was is what she saying either not including mutual understanding or express...

Is it normal to be left-handed?
  18. ImmortalFlame

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

Again, the comparison is about NORMALCY vs COMMONALITY. It doesn't matter if they affect a person mentally or physically. Then what does it mean for something to be "normal"? That's the point. No, that's very obviously not what they are arguing. I've just explained what I believe their...

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

The argument is about what we regard as "normal", not what does or doesn't need medical or psychological treatment (although being trans in any form doesn't necessarily require medical and/or psychological treatment, so that's not really anything to do with the issue either).
  20. ImmortalFlame

To Be or Not To Be: your gender (Vivek R.)

I believe the argument perhaps was that just because something isn't common doesn't mean it isn't "normal". There are lots of uncommon features of humans that we normalise while understanding that they are less common, such as left-handedness or autism.
