Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

The Canadian version applies to government agencies, the UK one applies to all persons and groups. In Canada, the behaviour would likely be prohibited under our laws relating to child pornography. There is no guarantee that the domestic purposes exemption would apply, since many pedophiles and...

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

Skwim, since you apparently can't read, here they are again. In the UK, the Data Protection Act. In Canada, the Freedom of Information and Privacy Act. IIRC , the relevant US law goes by the same name or similar.

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

:D It's just bad luck for poor Skwim that I happen to be so intimately familiar with the relevant legislation. What were the odds?

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

There are also laws against taking photos of children without parental consent. So whichever way you want to play it, you've lost this one.

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

Skwim, 1) YOU insisted we focus on the law. It's not relevant to my argument, but to yours. 2) Two different laws have been cited. One from Canada and the other from the UK. If you missed them, you need to review this thread and read more carefully. 3) You SPECIFICALLY cited English law as the...

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

Surely it's totally OK as long as you don't notice. Lol.

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

Stealing is harmless if nobody notices. Does that mean it's permissible? You have yet to explain why you believe perverts and pedophiles should be exempt from privacy laws prohibiting the non-consensual collection of personal information. Come on, give it a go. It's a slow morning and I...

Why do people deny or have various doubts about God?

So your position is that the sun already existed before God created it on day 4?

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

I don't need to look it up. Enforcing privacy law in England was my job for two years. I could practically recite the Data Protection Act from memory, and have written dozens of policies and training programs to ensure compliance with it. Perhaps you need to look it up yourself.

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

To elaborate on how privacy laws work, you can take pictures of public spaces with people in them, provided you are not zooming in on an identifiable individual. If any information captured in the photo would allow a viewer to single out who the subject is, consent is required in most cases...

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

What specific law are you referring to that states people are allowed to take sneaky, non-consensual pictures of children in bathing suits for masturbation purposes?

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

Yes, that's the Canadian version of the law I was tasked with enforcing in the UK. They're substantially similar.

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

It's best to nip rapey behaviour in the bud, IMO. It's not illegal to peer into someone's window from the street, but to do so with your pecker in your fist will get you into hot water with the law. And rightly so. Peeping Toms, if left to their own devices, tend to escalate to B&E rapists. The...

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

As I said, the law is irrelevant. If it permits perverts to creep on unsuspecting children, it should be changed. Regardless, there are laws in many countries that protect the privacy of children, even in public. I used to have the job of issuing guidance and training for complying with the...

Why do people deny or have various doubts about God?

I know you're both being funny, but I've actually had it explained to me that Satan filled the world with evidence that leads us to conclude the Bible is incorrect to tempt us from the path of righteousness. That guy was being completely serious. He was really angry that I couldn't stop laughing. :D

Why do people deny or have various doubts about God?

How so? It's pretty unambiguous: day 3, plants. Day 4, the sun. We know this is not the order in which these things came to be, so why does the bible put them in this order?

Taking pictures of children in public is illegal

I don't believe anyone should be taking non-consensual pictures of anyone for wank material. I don't care what the law says. There is potential harm there, in the form of creeped out parents worrying about their children attracting the attention of perverts and child molesters, and in the form...
