    My short answer is Egypt expelled UN peacekeepers and blocked the route to the Red Sea,Israel fearing imminent attack struck first and even though outnumbered defeated they won an historic victory.

    It’s easy,if the hostages are returned,Hamas Hezbollah etc recognise Israel’s statehood the go to the peace table and then the rebuild of Gaza can begin but Hamas has shown many times it is not willing to do so.

    No and as far as I’m aware they didn’t “destroy all Catholic dwellings” either. Sounds like you have the same mindset as Hamas regarding Israel.
