Er, I feel like you are trying to teach me about what you don’t know about.
Let me say that the ‘sloppy’ part you mentioned: If CHURCH leaders are using sloppy language…. Get out of her!!!! It’s foul and putrid ideology!!
If it’s a melding of language… They‘be chosen a very BAD one. Let’s say...
Are you pagan?
God does not procreate.
God CREATES.
A ‘Son’ of God is ‘Anyone who does the works of the Father’. That’s why Jesus tried to prove to the Jews that when he said he was God’s Son, it meant that he was doing ‘the works of the Father - and if you don’t believe that then at least...
You may be feeling generous but I think you don’t know what you are pointing out since the topic is about the word, ‘GHOST’.
A Ghost IS ‘THE SPIRIT’ of a dead person which roams the living world in a semi or fully visible form - which is why people say: ‘I saw a Ghost’.
What you did… and I...
Nitpicking!!!
A big touchy, aren’t you?
I said, ‘Like’… I didn’t use an actual JW person’s words. If ‘Last Days’ is what it is then that’s what you substitute into the analogy!! It’s the SPIRIT that counts.
When I see a JW Marketing their magazines, I go over and pick one or more. Of course, they start a conversation like ‘Do you believe we are in the last spiritual age?’. Well, that’s fine - it’s the topic of the day that day. But after that there’s nothing but:
JW: ‘Have a look at this verse!’…...
Where did that question come from?
I was looking at the fact that in the translation of the New Testament, the word, and title, ‘Ruler’, is what is written instead of the actual Greek equivalent of ‘Prince’.
I said that a ‘Prince’ is not a ‘Ruler’… Can anyone show that a Prince is a ruler...
Kenny, ‘God’ means ‘Ruler’.
I’ve shown this over and over in this forum….!!!
‘The Chess Grandmaster is God of the Chess Match’
‘The judge is God of the Courtroom’
‘Who is God of the Basket Ball court?’
‘God’ is best served with a context…
‘Satan is God of the created world’
‘The lion is God...
Yeah, sorry, I meant ‘the topic’ of the question.
Do JW have a problem with these verses that they are singled out for a response? I might have missed an argument somewhere where JW’s had dispute with the verses.
The question was about what a Jehovah’s Witness thinks… Not about what Jehovah’s Witness literature says.
Of course, a Jehovah’s Witness might fully want to express what he thinks by quoting the exact words, sentence, or paragraph that is taught by JW’s elders, but that then requires quoting...
Sorry, you need to read more carefully. Right from the FIRST REPLY a poster was accusing me of anti-trinitarianism…. THATS what I’m talking about.
I heard (not for the first time) a preacher talk about ‘The Holy Ghost’ from several Bible verses and decided to put it to the test in this forum...
I did not SET OUT to do this. Look again at the topic question. I did not even mention Trinitarianism of any other belief but rather, ‘Some believers’. IT IS YOU AND THE OTHERS who INSISTED on introducing, and maintaining the focus on it EVEN AFTER I tried to stop ‘you’ going down that line...
Nothing to much say, as usual… and even what you do say is tainted by incredible lack of intelligence.
The point I made was of Satan being called ‘Prince’ IN GREEK where as the word used in the TRANSLATION was ‘GOD’/‘RULER’.
I did not say anything about any other aspect of Satan so your claim...
Ghosting…’ - An immature or aggressive ending of a relationship’
It’s funny how you guys are now using the term in exactly the way it is defined … Yet were so anti-intelligence about it when in a debate!!!
‘Too much study befuddles the mind!’… a well known phrase!!!
This is one good reason that Scientific communities are the greatest unbelievers in YHWH God. Your own expressing of dressing of the fact that you study ancient Anglo-Saxon, has distracted you from the real issue. It matters not to...
Please, what are you going on about… what is the context of your point/question?
Objectivity does not exclude benefits. The Romans brought many great things to the now, United Kingdom that are wonderful. But their RELIGIOUS aspects - no! Moreover, they didn’t try to spread their Roman religious...
Before you go, tell what THE CORRECT definition, in your own words, is for ‘Ghost’…
I’m just seeing if you can do more than just copy and paste definition, or whether you actually UNDERSTAND what you are talking about?
That was desperate… where did I say that in this thread? Are you not finding anything to actually say against me?
Why are you talking about ‘The creed’…. AH…. You found a translation that used ‘Ghost’ instead of ‘Spirit’ and base you argument on that???
Anyone can misinterpret and publish...
