    How does Feminism view Men?

Are you implying that men only identify as feminist to get laid? If so, that's literally the exact same argument used by hardline MRAs. If not, it's still pretty transphobic (or at least erasing trans identities) to say that male = penis. Um, where?

    What are you currently playing?

I never played FF7 or FF8 because I never had a PS1. I did play FFX, FFXII and every Kingdom Hearts game up thru 358 Days/2. I recently discovered that I still have the same KH2 disc I forgot to return to Blockbuster 10 years ago!

    How does Feminism view Men?

No, men are responsible for misogyny. But I'm just saying that it's better to encourage men to unlearn misogyny than consigning them to it. I also never said anything opposing the existence of women's spaces, as long as they're not defined in a transphobic manner. But my perspective is that...

    Autism and vaccines

hahaha I've made the same joke. SMBC is great but I never saw this particular strip before.

    Check this out....

I had two pet rats. I'd give them both food and one would steal the other's food from his mouth! But there are also rats who have been shown to give up privileges for themselves to help other rats. I don't think animals or plants are inherently more or less moral than us. The only difference is...

    Check this out....

Epicurus likely never said that, and would more be called a polydeist in modern terms than an atheist. It is a pretty classic quote tho and an objection to the notion of a perfect god that I agree with.

    How does Feminism view Men?

Heh, was kind of expecting this response. Not wanting men to be feminists kinda strikes me as encouraging men to be openly sexist, but w/e. If you haven't blocked me, I'm curious where gay males as well as trans people of all genders and orientations fit into your political analysis/worldview.

    How does Feminism view Men?

No, it's the rigid sexual morality, patronizing view of sex workers, aversion to intersectionality, obsession with the reproductive system and frequent transphobia that turns me off second wave feminism. And before anyone gets the wrong idea, I am a feminist, and staunchly third wave.

    What's Wrong With Racism?

Then how does humans being tribal excuse racism?

    What's Wrong With Racism?

Eurgh, what's that awful stench? I guess it's just the massive pile of BS emanating from the claim that white people are a tribe. Look at this map: Germanic tribes in the Migration Period. Do you see one marked "white"? And if you dial back the clock a few centuries, an imperial Roman would...

Are You Both a Capitalist and a Socialist?

I am fully socialist (i.e. supporting workers' self-management). I do not support capitalism (the existence of a social class who hold land and capital privately). I'm OK with markets tho.

Trump has a Bully's Sense of Humor...

I was talking about the labor movement for part of my argument. In 1914 the US National Guard massacred around 20 labor protestors in Colorado: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludlow_Massacre State governments are still governing institutions, and it's only recently that marriage was the focus of...

Trump has a Bully's Sense of Humor...

That's certainly not what I see when I look at the US criminal justice system. When America was founded, only landowning white males could vote. The concessions that have been made have came about because of people on the ground level refusing to put up with oppression. It's easy to look at the...

Trump has a Bully's Sense of Humor...

This conception of how it works is exactly backwards. The state isn't benevolently guarding marginalized people from the mob. The membership of ruling institutions will always disproportionately favor the privileged. In fact, that's kind of the definition of privilege. The governing bodies of a...

Recommendation......"Gaycation" On The New Network, Viceland

Woah, that sounds like my jam! I'm utterly fascinated by global perceptions of LGBTQ people and have done my share of armchair research on the topic.

What if The Vikings did not convert to Christianity?

I doubt there would be a "Kingdom of Scandinavia". There'd be no reason for a less centralized religion to create a more centralized political region.

What if The Vikings did not convert to Christianity?

Scandinavia would be less culturally "Western". The Latin alphabet would be adapted way later, if at all. Women's rights would be better, animal sacrifice would be less stigmatized in the modern world and there would likely be more trade between Northern Europe and the Asian steppes...
