    Is masturbation a sin?

From my personal experience I think it's wrong since it leads to sexualy immoral thoughts. And it changes your mood... well at least it changes my mood. I become more agressive and generally feel down. If you don't masturbate then you get rid of it in your sleep. Sounds nasty but it's not as if...

    Is masturbation a sin?

You answered yourself with the "nocturnal emmissions" statement.

Why was it necessary for God to sacrifice His son, Jesus?

It was the style at the time. I guess if it were simply taking a suicide pill it woulnd't have the same effect or inspire people. It certainly wouldn't have made it public so it would be hard to spread the word of his death around. Also what he suffered on the cross was only the start.

From my sociology lessons I've learned to be very cautious of sects like the one David Koresh started. Thanks for the replies everyone. I think the second church I went to was definitely one I'd like to return to some day. The teaching was nice and clear and I found myself agreeing with what was...

Thanks guys and in reply to michel I have a friend who I went to church with a few times. He goes to a church that... well they like lots of singing and dancing and generally having fun. I really didn't fit in too well but they were very welcoming non-the less. I guess my lack of knowledge of...

    Denominations.

I'm relatively new to Christianity. I've tried a few churches but I was too shy to stay... I'm not too good with people. But I practice what's writen in the Bible and I pray regularily and worship in private and obviously believe in Jesus as saviour. So... I don't belong to a particular...

God is not in the Big Bang

Where did the strings come from? I saw a program on this but I stopped studying physics a few years ago. You can't get something from nothing the string things had to come from somewhere so no matter how complicated the theory or how good the science at the end of the day something completely...

    The extent of God's forgiveness.

I guess I'm just going to have to trust in God and that he's forgiven me and in time maybe I'll learn to forgive myself. Thank you all for your replies... I hope some day even I will be able to help you guys out. Think I'm going to go and do some Bible reading and a whole load of praying. God...

    The extent of God's forgiveness.

Yeah sorry you guys read a lot more indepth than people on the other forums I usually go on. Okay my example isn't specifically about mental illness as an excuse. Sorry it wasn't to clear. All I mean by the example is that I have done some terrible things in my past I was just trying to get some...

    The extent of God's forgiveness.

Believe me I am sorry for what I have done. The example I gave is strictly an example however. What I did wasn't as bad as that. But there still isn't a day that goes by when I don't regret what I've done. When I first became a Christian (though I don't deserve to be called one) I could almost...

    The extent of God's forgiveness.

Okay part of the reason I'm on this site is because I've done some pretty terrible things in my life. I became a Christian about a year ago thanks to my friend teaching me a great deal about it. The thing is I've been struggling to adhere to the rules of the religion. I'm bad tempered and all...
