I also like Fagles. I really enjoy Fitzgerald as well. I have their translations for both Iliad and Odyssey, and I have Fitzgerald's version of the Aeneid.
I hope Burt's first experience in the afterlife was seeing Dom DeLuise dressed up in his Captain Chaos outfit waiting by a car. Dom looks up, smiles, and says, "Road trip!"
The Devisukta, found in the Rig Veda, is presented with Mahadevi speaking in the first person. I hesitate to even mention this as I am not trying to engage in sectarian polemics, but I think you need to see that your sources are omitting much that is important and thus giving you an incomplete...

Yes, Kali is Brahman, She is Atman. Everything that exists is Her, She is consciousness, matter, space, and time. She is the One and She is also the many.
To elaborate a little more on this point, my devotions center on Maa Kali and the Mahavidyas. The Mahavidya, which includes Kali Herself, are ten manifestations of MahaKali. They are One because all are Kali. They are also many because each of the Mahavidyas have distinct powers, forms, and...
The Rig Veda speaks of multiple deities. You can interpret them as all being manifestations of One, but that is an interpretation. A plain reading of the text gives a polytheistic worldview. I am a Shakta, I worship Maa Kali as Supreme. I view the Vedas as coming ultimately from Her, and through...

M'Baku actually is a bit of a bad guy in the comics, that I do know. He isn't on the level of the Joker or the Green Goblin when it comes to comic book evil, he is more a rival.
This is interesting:

I caught that reference when I saw the movie, too. I am a huge DC Comics fan, but I don't know as much about Marvel characters. I wonder if the Black Panther comics ever refer to Hanuman. So, is the inclusion a result of the director's vision or is it fidelity to the source material?
Dharmacentral.com gives a Vaishnava perspective on Hinduism. As a Shakta I obviously disagree with their perspective on both Shaktism and Shaivism. As has been said many times in this thread, Hinduism encompasses several diverse religious traditions.
