The following are the list of qualities. To keep this from being a debate on definitions, just use whatever understanding you have. Holy Days, the Suspension of Work, and Changes since the Aqdas

On the Baha'i Faith's holy day list where work is suspended, there are 9. These 9 come from a tablet by Abdul-Baha. 3 of these Baha'u'llah described that work should be suspended, which are the days of Ridvan listed below. For the other 6 days, would anyone know where Baha'u'llah says work...

Depriving Yourself of What God Has Permitted

It's an open ended question. I'm not looking for a particular answer.

Depriving Yourself of What God Has Permitted

From the Kitab-i-Aqdas #36: How many a servant has secluded himself in the islands of India, depriving himself of what God has permitted him, enduring hardships and tribulations, yet does not mention before God the station of the signs. Do not make your actions a partnership of hopes, and do...

The State vs. Muhammad - Crimes Against Aisha (Recruitment Period)

For a mock trial, western academic consensus may not actually matter as much as you would think. And, it feels as though you feel this is the only standard. The idea of a mock trial would be to determine if Muhammad is innocent of a crime, or guilty of a crime. In a court of law, academic...

The State vs. Muhammad - Crimes Against Aisha (Recruitment Period)

Does this mean you want to play one of the roles? This thread isn't exactly for the debate yet

The State vs. Muhammad - Crimes Against Aisha (Recruitment Period)

Of course its been debated several times. It isn't a mock trial, though.

The State vs. Muhammad - Crimes Against Aisha (Recruitment Period)

So in the case of the mock trial... instead of debating the Hadith... the prosecution could place on the witness stand the narrator of the Hadith. such as Anas ibn Malik. The prosecution asks Anas a question, the Muslim witness answers.... Prosecution asks another question... this repeats for 5...

The State vs. Muhammad - Crimes Against Aisha (Recruitment Period)

This is very true. You should see the abuse Qur'an only believers often suffer at the hands of Hadith lovers. Muslims who reject the Hadith as required for their religious practice is a very small minority.

    The Greater Covernants of God

What was the response by the local representative? Did you deliver the Promise of World Peace to whomever has held the office since then?

The State vs. Muhammad - Crimes Against Aisha (Recruitment Period)

Do you have an example of such a mock trial in this case? Debates on a forum aren't exactly perfect either, but I figure if there are any online mock trials with this situation, it will probably have a Muslim defending the Prophet, instead of merely serving as a witness. For an act which...

The State vs. Muhammad - Crimes Against Aisha (Recruitment Period)

I wanted to do something different instead of a debate, although I love a good debate. I am a Baha'i who is well versed in the Qur'an. I will often see non-Muslims discuss the atrocity that Muhammad married a 9 year old girl and see Muslims seem rather proud Muhammad married a 9 year old girl...

Should the oneness of humanity be taught in all schools worldwide

So I mention a potential story in Genesis could have a story telling device, and you try to equate this statement as if I'm referring to the entire Bible? It's hard to respond if I know anything I say will be taken grossly out of context.

Should the oneness of humanity be taught in all schools worldwide

It's an analogy, also known as a literary device to used to demonstrate a particular aspect of two unlike things. The particular aspect in my analogy is the obedience to a role, not necessarily the person fulfilling the role. I could have said when a doctor takes a ****, is the doctor performing...

    poll: are you an ape?

Another reason why Abdul-Baha should NOT be used as a primary source for the Baha'i Faith. By the way, great apes are not a singular species. A species is basically a group of living organisms that can reproduce together and their offspring is also capable of reproducing. A gorilla and...
