10 commandments need amending!

Neither God nor I are responsible for human disobedience and misdeeds !!! You want him to force people to obey ? Or make them so they can't sin ? If he had you would be a pre-programmed Robot with never a choice in anything.
Don't worry free choice will not always be available, it will soon be curtailed.
FYI, there's no such thing as free choice, but that's a whole other issue. When you say humans commit acts of disobedience it prompts the question; refusal or failure to obey what or whom? I will assume that in the present context this would be god. So who made people capable of disobeying god, people? Hardly. We didn't make us that way. The culprit is god. He made humanity fallible, and purposely so. To say he couldn't have done otherwise is to saddle him with a limitation. Moreover, as an omnipotent being the Christian god easily foresaw what his creations would do; end up as disobedient critters, and yet he put these annoying creatures on earth anyway. So god is indeed responsible for human disobedience and misdeeds, but then whines when they do.

Go figure, because I sure can't.

So 1-4 is about god's ego. 5 is still good (unless you have an adopted child and the couple is a same sex couple). 6,7,8,9,10 are good to go too.
But where is rape? Where is molestation? Where is treating each individual kindly and fairly (no discrimination)? Not to enslave? And lastly, turn of that cellphone.

I'm sure god foresaw these problems, so why weren't commandments included to dissuade them?

There are 613 commandments in the Torah, of which these ten are only high on the list. No Jew is supposed to follow only these ten: there are the other 603, also. Every single one of which, by the way, requires extensive interpretation and analysis of nuance to understand and follow properly, courtesy of the Oral Torah (the tradition of interpretation given right alongside the Written Torah). And, failing any extant interpretation or understanding of a particular nuance or force of a commandment, the Torah also imparts to us the authority to interpret, reinterpret, judge, and extrapolate additional rules from the commandments given.

And, in any case, since every one of the 613 commandments is intended for Jews to follow, and not anyone else, presumably God has provided other peoples, with other religions, different texts, prophecies, traditions, and authority to deal with the issues you mention for themselves.

So we sinners and non believers will be damned by hellfire?

It is not God's Will that any should perish but that all should come to repentance 2Pet.3v9.
That does not sound as if God destroys willy-nilly.
YOU make that decision by refusing to repent !

Anyone who has a SELFISH rebellious nature will ALWAYS find an excuse to complain when not agreed with. They refuse to accept authority/education over them and CHOOSE to be a disobedient critter (your words). You are describing yourself as an 'annoying creature 'and indeed we are all in the same boat while childish and immature/young. So why do you continue to misbehave/disobey WHEN YOU KNOW you could do better ? Why why why when it is in your own power/choice to be nice/agreeable ??? You might learn something. You are not grown up enough to take responsibility for your own actions but want to blame your Creator/Parent.

Revoltifarianism has no commandments, especially those ten. (Although the prohibition against murder has merit.)
But we do have one demandment:
"Your right to swing your arms ends where your neighbor's nose begins."
We eschew detailed prescriptions, for that is where mischief lies.

I can agree with the 2 you mentioned but they hardly cover a multitude of sins ???:run:

And why do you defer to god as he? He denotes male, and a male is a human being or male animal, no?

Oh please. It sounds much better to talk about god using "he" than, what would you have, "it?" Most of us (I would hope all) realize that human sexual identity does not apply to god, but it sounds stupid to always refer to him as "it."

Like I stated in another thread. This is basically an ultimatum not free choice. It's like a dictator saying, "Obey what I want for law, or I kill you." Most people won't choose death, so they abide.
Free will includes choices. I can choose to eat tuna, salmon and eel, instead of sea urchin, red snapper and clam at a sushi bar. That is free will. I am not being FORCED to make a decision.

;) Freedom is my religion, and My 10 Commandments are the 10 amendments of the Bill of Rights

But that said, you really only need two rules in life:

1 - Do what thou wilt
2 - Respect thy fellow man

Half of the people living on Earth are above average.
And half of the people on Earth are below average.
That alone proves life is unfair and will be until the
end of time.

I believe there is such a thing as "just discrimination."
After all, how could anyone be on a jury and find a defendant
guilty if one could not discriminate?
Or, how could we deport illegals if we were not allowed to dis-
criminate?
Discrimination like most everything else can be good or evil.

Yeah, that's how I too see god.

They refuse to accept authority/education over them and CHOOSE to be a disobedient critter (your words).
First of all, that's not what I said. I said "god easily foresaw what his creations would do; end up as disobedient critters," "End up" is not synonymous with "choose." Secondly, according to Christianity the disobedience is god's conclusion.

You are describing yourself as an 'annoying creature 'and indeed we are all in the same boat while childish and immature/young.
see above explanation.

Well, I don't accept god as an actual being, much less his reported evaluation of humans as disobedient. I'm simply playing your game using your assumptions: God exists and he's displeased with man's disobedience.

You are not grown up enough to take responsibility for your own actions but want to blame your Creator/Parent.
Ah, an ad hom. Why am I not surprised.

It takes an adult responsible mind to make use of the CHOICE we are offered Deut.30v19. It means taking what God says serious. And your own words admit to that failure/unwillingness.
You mention this to a child (an immature mind) (no offence intended) and it would not know what to do with it.
It's just as simple and plain as that. :)

An immature mind can exist in an adult. Or don't you watch Jack *** on MTV?
