10 fingers good 12 fingers bad?

Rayne

Meh
I would have them removed. Having 12 fingers, whether they live happy or not, will take away some of the experiences that make life great. Such as possibly making it harder to learn to play an instrument. What if he/she want's to be a musician and can't play her/his favorite instrument? Damn you Daddy!

Actually having more fingers enhances your manual dexterity. There a certain songs that can be played with only twelve fingers on the Piano.

I wonder whether this is the type of mutation which, in nature, might eventually spread throughout a population and become the norm.

I believe the ring finger and the fore finger used to be one finger that split, that is why the ring finger has a weaker range of movement and it is unatural for us to move it independantly of the fore finger.

If you put your hand flat on a table and raise each finger, you will see it. That is of course if you haven't spent a couple of decades perfecting the vulcan salute.

Live long and prosper

I wouldn't mind a few extra fingers.
Then I could fit two more bugle claws on my hands:

O_O My mother and sisters were all born without any fingers.
And I happened to be born with 40 fingers.
Is that a problem? Huh!?! IS IT?!?
