Here's my 15 for all of those curious fellows and fellettes out there:
1. I am the youngest of three children and a second son. I was blond-haired and blue-eyed until I was about ten while my older brother and sister had dark hair and dark eyes. Talk about those recessive genes!
2. I was baptized twice as an infant in the Roman Catholic rite, the first time right after birth due to complications with respiratory distress syndrome, the second time about a month and half later. I slept through all of it
3. I share my birthday with such celebrities as Bing Crosby, Catherine the Great, the Red Baron, and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
4. I can quote all the original Star Wars movies, The Princess Bride, most of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and the Last Starfighter word for word, as well as some lines from some other famous films.
5. I think Whose Line is it Anyway is the funniest TV show ever made.
6. Two of my great-grandfathers on both sides of my family served in WWI; one was an infantryman, the other a battlefield engineer who was among the first Americans to reach France with General Pershing in 1917.
7. I am at least 3% Cherokee Indian by blood.
8. I love cheese of all kinds but haven't tried very many flavors. Any suggestions?
9. I am currently a Social Sciences student working on my B.S. with dual minors in English and Philosophy. I am considering a career in the Sociology of Religion.
10. I find almost impossible to lie (Be assured I am telling the truth here)
11. My short-term memory is terrible. I've lost items ranging from gloves and car keys to my own mind. My long-term memory though is quite impressive.
12. I was raised in the Catholic faith for the first six years of my life. After about three years in limbo my family was baptized into the LDS Church in 1991 after my mom met my future step-father. I was active member in this church for about seventeen years but recently stopped participating due to my issues with some of its teachings and practices. Currently my religious views lie somewhere around agnosticism and theological noncognitivism.
13. I eat meat but I don't buy it.
14. I love to think about deep philosophical subjects everyday. My current thoughts center on David Hume's views on religion. I have reputable streak of introspection it seems.
15. I am an impulsive, hopeless romantic who has yet to learn the value of patience, who still loves to play with legos, and is sometimes a little too hard on himself, and loves to play video games.
1. I am a vegetarian and nearly vegan.
2. I have a black belt and am pretty good at fighting.
4. I never wear any makeup, ever. (Except maybe on Halloween).
8. I am extremely flexible.
11. I like a little bit of anime and manga, but not too much. The ones I like I tend to really like, though.
12. Sometimes I cry a little bit during movies.
All admirable things IMO.
2-I got my green belt recently in the last style I was in, but left because I didn't agree with some of its practices, namely its strict focus on LDS principles and doctrine.
4-As a man, I find that the less makeup and jewelry a woman has on, the more attractive she is.
8-I can put both my legs behind my head. It hurts but feels great afterwards. For some reason other people find this weird.
11- I am much the same way. I'm no anime geek by any means but still love to watch it. My favorites are DBZ, Outlaw Star, and Cowboy Bebop but I wouldn't mind getting into more of them.
12-I do too, especially if it's a chick-flick or a serious drama
12. I have read the entire Wheel of Time series. Sure wish I had that year of my life back.
14. I do not drink alcohol
15. I would leave my Christmas lights up all year 'round if it were socially acceptible
12-I've read all the current books once, and books 1-6 twice. When I first started, it took me 6 months to read all the way up through Knife of Dreams. Despite its length it's one of the best high fantasy series I've ever read. I also like the series by George R.R. Martin.
14- Me neither. When I took my first sip of beer at age 2 I swore it off for the rest of my life. Twenty plus years later, I am still sober. Perhaps my time as a Mormon really trained me to for sticking with this decision
15-Yes, me too. One of the qualities I look for in a woman is someone who'll let me do this without calling me lazy.
