It is nice to have diversity in our representatives, including a little diversity from the girls on the go like her. It is amazing how fearful some are.

Welp, I don't fear her at all. I'm don't live in the States, so this all has no practical impact on me. And I completely agree that diversity in representation is a good thing.

There is nothing extreme at all in her, doesn't matter that I do not agree with everything she noted on her views, it is great to have her aboard and I have no fear of girls like some do.

Who fears girls?

My only problem is, they sometimes like me just a wee too much which makes my wife mad. I can tell you one thing - they know a LOT more than some think. Yes sir. It is sort of funny, she lands a great job and some are jealous who can't land a job in a Taco Bell.

All right, all right. Where is the strawman hiding. I'll bring him out, you can beat him around, and we can all go back to posting on the OP.

Well, if you hate her, keep dreaming she will be too stupid to walk and chew gum at the same time.

I don't hate her, but I would think the opposite. Let's hope she's smart enough to cram at least 15 years of life experience into her next 4 so she can best serve those who voted her in, and those that didn't. That's the job she's signed up for.
It's not a 'ride', it's a responsibility, and I'll re-iterate my earlier point. She can be extremely intelligent, well-grounded, and mature for her age. She's still 18. It's too young, in my opinion, to effectively represent her constituents. But they voted her in, so let's hope she does a good job, and let's hope she is able to learn quickly.

So, what happened to the people supporting the candidate who opposed her? Did they forget to vote or what?

The deranged "nutter" in question won by a 9 point margin. That ain't chopped liver.

It's a good point. As much as I find issue with her being elected, she's entitled to run, and perhaps it speaks to her competition that she was successful.

Reagan was just dandy. Another one will come again. One day, there may even be a new religion based on him, but it will be sort of prophet centric I suppose. One thing.that is amazing is, hus radio chats he use to put out (they would run about 5 minutes as I recall) are still travelling in space. One day aliens will hear them, translate them, and probably be heading to earth to find him. It may be possible to bring him back to life using some of his DNA and we could.reelect him again as part of an experiment. Who knows.

Anyway, tuff luck sore losers, she's so cute I want to kiss her. In fact one day I might, I have a lot of outrageous good luck (not sure why). I may even convert her to Hinduism.

She never would call for outlawing divorce. But perhaps electing someone who did think like that could bring a lot of blow your mind discussions from which.some real insights could be born.

Meh, it was kinda a throw-away line. My point is, she makes a bunch of fairly dubious claims re: Judeo-Chrisitan principles, and puts the Ten Commandments on her Issues page. I'm with Lvcifer Invictus on this; that's lip service to religion, not good governance, or consistent application of religious belief.

What the hell are you gibbering about? This Reagan worship that conservatives have going on is really disturbing. He was a horrible person. If I believed in the Christian hell, I'd imagine he'd be burning there right now along with the *****, Thatcher.

The girl is a hardcore Christian. She probably hates Hinduism and think you're going to burn in hell. I don't understand people like you, who support those who hate you.

I agree LI, no one should worship a politician. Especially if they hold a lot of power, such as in Socialist regimes. Nor Reagan, either.

Yesterday, Thursday November 6, just half-way into his five-year seat, I found out the popularity of Socialist Party and French President Francois Hollande hit a new low just hours before the Socialist leader addresses the nation to defend his lousy record on the economy - the worst score for a president in modern-day polling, Hollande received a 12 percent approval rating in the monthly survey by pollster YouGov, down 15 percent from the prior month.

This may explain what is going on. Socialist is so bad in France, that now millions are fleeing France for the newly elected Republican Congressional rule in America which is only a few days old but already rising in the polls as Americans hope they will stop another unpopular President, Obama.

It came out recently that over 2.5 million French have now fled France for overbroad in their own French version of "Taxed Enough Already (TEA) Party" voice of "enough! Get off my back you harpie!".....

I believe the Socialist had to face a press conference today, it would be interesting to see the video and if even the press starts laughing at him like even the phony liberal press in the US started laughing at the Obama spokesmouth yesterday at a press conference for not answering if the loss was a shellacking.

The world is an exciting, diverse place. Actually, I don't mind the French fleeing into America, French language is nice. There are lots of Alp-like hills in West Virginia, and I think they would actually like this new sweet girl who just won there. Sweet girls are sort of "French" in spirit, and she isn't a Socialist which I think these French refugees would like.

Just googled her. Wow...she is crazy. Legitimately crazy and she frightens me and it frightens me even more that people voted for her. Especially her bit about "freedom of religion not from religion". I am not an atheist but I wouldn't infringe the right of atheists not to believe and then she goes ahead and claims that the US is a Christian nation and we need to get back to the 10 commandments.

"Freedom of religion not from religion" - Wow! Did she really say that on her website? Very inspiring, I love it. In fact I am going to add this to my Signature for awhile (I change it off and on depending on mood).

ISKCON is sometimes seen on the street displaying their faith publically, dancing to the Lord and chanting. This upsets some. Some want to shutdown public expression of religion. They say they have freedom from religion. But no one stops the antagonist from this (no religion) if that is what they want, yet they want to stop another to be their religion in real time. That is what this means. Freedom of religion is that, and yes it is public and free, freedom from religion cannot in public, should not, trump this freedom to deny this freedom. Freedom to not be religious is a freedom you have a right to chose and exercise. But freedom of religion means you will be surrounded by it, at any moment encounter it, you must be tolerant and tolerate it, you do not have the right to be free from it because that is impossible. You do not have to be any religion, or any faith, that is a freedom "to" and not a freedom "from". Saying freedom "from" religion is like saying freedom "from" humans. From birds. From the air. It is another way intolerance that brings about genocide both cultural genocide and human genocide.

I Thank this sweet girl for teaching me something! And let me add this to my signature right now. What a fun world it is, if we can be just a little less fearful and a little more brave.

She's no scaredy-cat, that's for sure! You go girl! (p.s. and don't drink beer or smoke).

And yet the Freedom of Religion should not trump those's who wish to be free of it. You begin a dark spiral once it is forced.

No, no, no, no Zen - not darkness but light ... It isn't darkness just because it is unexpected ... here, it's like this. I happen to know a lot about Zen Buddhism. There is a lot of Zen about this girl, she's practically a living Zen garden.

It is a lightning bolt bursting forth from a cloud when it is not expected - and so you might be afraid and intolerant. But the unexpected is in fact expected and she is the living example of both.

Take the Zen wisdom bolt "What is the sound of one hand clapping" and "Freedom of religion is not freedom from religion". They are the SAME! But what's the use? - sometimes these things go right over the heads of those in an older body but cannot measure the inner agelessness of someone like her. But over time their wisdom is hopeful.

Now, at this juncture, I am not saying she will be a great candidate for President in 2016. But perhaps one day. The banyan tree grows from the most tiny of seeds.

I know - this only raises more questions (which is ok, partt of the reason this world is so exciting, especially with youth taking wings as her). And probably this raises the question --- Who would I like to see as President?

Cable TV and current events commentator and genius Greg Gutfeld (FOX News).

Pretty much half the babes on FOX could be Vice President.

But I do love Larry Kudlow, too, economic superstar and advocate of free market capitalism.

The issue is that she is not Pro-Openly Religious (however you wish to word it) she openly states that she wishes the that the government would see the importance and wisdom of the Ten Commandments for the nation to thrive. ( Issues - dev ) To me, this is an open hostility to anyone who does not follow the Christian faith.

Well, it's not like there are 10. There are 10 zillion and every wave is a commandment.

But all she is saying is, when it comes to the government, Big Brother can only count to 10, after that it's back to checkers and cheese dip. Doesn't mean they will follow 10, they won't follow probably any I suppose.

But you have to keep it simple when it comes to a Gorilla with a Gun. Not for you. For the Big Brother. Who may be big, but, well, they don't think you are their brother. They wouldn't even like it much if you even ate from their garbage can.

So, don't think it like "she says". She might just be a mirror.

Eighteen-year-old Saira Blair will become the youngest state lawmaker in West Virginia history.

The Republican Saira Blair defeated Democrat Layne Diehl on Tuesday to win a seat in the state House of Delegates to become the youngest state lawmaker in the U.S..

America is a great place to live.

Nothing speaks America like a Senator Dad getting their daughter elected to a city position.... Reality show to follow.

I'm not fearful of West Virginians or their stupid choices. It would take them months to hike here.

Yes sir. It is sort of funny, she lands a great job and some are jealous who can't land a job in a Taco Bell.

Hey, that's unfair. I could totally land a job at Taco Bell if my dad was a CFO of Yum! Brands Inc.

I was in Penn & W.V. earlier this year, work related. When I say W.V. I mean way up in the mountains. Believe me, they can drive a big truck up the most scary gravel and dirt roads equal to the most scary I have been on, internationally, unbelievable.

Yes I also stood in the midst of white poverty there as well. But things are now changing, improving. Don't hate them. In regards to how far they can hike, they can hike as far as you can imagine. If I were funding a space venture with human pilots, I would pick a couple of them to drive. For sure.

Aye, the makings of the best henchmen: immortal but expendable.

West Virginia's are fine. It's mostly Democratic for a long time. No matter what party anyone is for, voting in an 18 year to draft legislation in the state is an adorable nod to the pointlessness of American politics.
