2021 Census: England and Wales No Longer Christian-Majority Nations

This article is over a year old, but I have only recently come across it. According to the 2021 census of England and Wales, Christianity is no longer the majority religion in either country:

The latest U.K. census has found that less than half of people in England and Wales consider themselves Christian.

What are your thoughts on this? Do you have any specific feelings about it?

Will these cultures now upgrade or will they further downgrade? The future will tell.

The USA is far from what it used to be; decline in standards, compared to the Golden Generation; WWII. Christianity was big, then. It was the drive behind the American Soldiers; righteous fight, even to possible death, against evil. Everyone man women and child were part of the effort.

In terms of the nuclear family, which is still the most cost effective social structure; young, adult and old were all taken care of, and the family was very strong during WWII. Liberalism, which is more Atheist, traded that compact economy for the expensive welfare state. They need many social mops to clean up the messes they have made, so they can hide their messes. Any form of sex appears the same, if you can hide the mops. England and Wales may see similar declines, getting even worse.

The contemporary actions of the political Left reminds me of Napoleon's troops when they invaded Russia and conquered Moscow. The troops were so excited to win, they burnt the city down, leaving them with no shelter to spend the harsh Russia winter; oops! This, in terms of the Left, was the screw up of the economy, with the green energy strong arm and illegal immigration invasion. These mistakes will result in an action similar to Napoleon being driven from Moscow and then Russia. The Counter offensive is starting, less the Left depress the country even more. We have too much debt for more mops to coverup blunders. Citizens are being harmed.

There is a saying in the Bible, that God rules the realm of mankind, and gives it; power, to whomever he wishes. Biden was ordained by God, just as Trump was before him. This brings us to where we are. Trump had a role; get under the skin of the swamp. The constant attempts by the political Left and Swamp to overthrow Trump with the collusion coup, impeachments scams, and even censorship scams to win an election, and then not have anything happen to them, emboldened the Left. Now they no longer hide their true intentions. They even will openly and unapologetically use the injustice system to persecute political opponents, using government money and resources; thieves.

At one time, they would clandestinely encourage illegal immigration, and then act surprised and blame everyone else. Their base would be fooled. Now they openly defend illegal immigration, which was always the goal from their other hidden face.

This emboldenment; nobody can touch them, showed their true colors, to all. Now the pendulum is swinging the other way; many blacks, hispanics and independents have allied with the Right against the lawlessness. Biden appears to have been chosen by God, to help the Left become honest and give away their true intent, behind their own hidden face, covered by a pretend honest face. Now the counter offensive, has a weakened enemy; due to the economy and the illegal invasion; cold from the burnt out Moscow. A targeted plan is in the works to take the hill. Other countries will see it and ally, and this could spread back to England and Wales, so they can also mount their own counter offensive.

Trump needs to forget about the past, even if he was harmed. Biden was chosen, by God, for a unique purpose; embolden and get the swamp to expose itself, so the hill can be taken, and the cancer surgery made much easier.

"Christian" is sometimes used as just being a generic theist, so yeah, it doesn't specify if they are practicing or not.

Interestingly, in Northern Ireland - but only Northern Ireland, if you answer "what is your religion?" with "none," you're directed to a follow-up question asking what religion you were raised in.

Luckily, the UK seems to have avoided the problem that affects the Canadian census - in Canada, the religion question comes with a note that encourages people who have left religion to answer with the denomination they used to belong to ("Indicate a specific denomination or religion even if this person is not currently a practising member of that group").

Could be that. I've encountered quite a few people who believe we're in the end times. 2000 was a big year that a lot of people looked forward to, thinking that was going to be the end. Then it was 2012. I recall reading about a prophecy by Nostradamus in which he predicted the end of the world when Easter falls on April 25. The next time that will happen will be in 2038.

I did a similar look on other countries a few years back and found that Russia by ratio to population is far more christian, than the USA.

I am surprised Canada would want you to specify something that's not even your current view. Sounds more like a US tactic.

Canada is weird about religion. We aren't that far out of the era where you had to be an Orangeman to get a job as a firefighter in some of the bigger cities. Our Charter proclaims our rights of religion and conscience, but it was only passed in 1980, and the statisticians are loathe to change anything about the census questions, since it raises concerns about how comparable the data is from one census year to another.
