3yr old Girl asked to leave restaurant because scars were scaring customers

Yeah I read about that.. Like, I can't even imagine who in their right mind would think that's appropriate. How can you say that to a little girl? Ugh people

Even to say that to anyone is pretty messed up, but it's just worse to do it to a kid.
I don't have a mean bone in my body but if I went to somewhere public and someone said that to me, I would prob end up in jail, or at least, someone would be getting quite the ear full, I would prob take the kid home, and go back and then all hell would open up.

On the bright side, if that family sues, they will get huge moneys, which is needed to pay for the kids surgeries.

I don't think they're going to sue because KFC is working with them on this.

Well it all depends on what KFC is planning on doing.
I doubt they will come close to what a lawyer will deem actually making it right.

"committed to doing something appropriate for this beautiful little girl and her family"
Doesn't sound very appealing to me.
That is a spokes person, they most likely have zero control over what is done.
I am sure the bigshots are pondering their best interest, not the kids.

Thanks for the info, $30,000 isn't squat to pay for all the kids medical bills, I hope the parents didn't sign anything.
I understand its not exactly the fault of the restaurant owners themselves, but maybe now they will properly train the staff.
Apparently who ever asked them to leave, said it right in front of the kid too and now she wont even go out in public.

Young kids absorb everything and it becomes part of them, hope she eventually figures out that the person who said it was dead wrong and most people do not even feel that way.

I actually believe who ever said it should face some sort of criminal charges and have to go to counseling, something is severally wrong with them.
I do not believe for a second that the people eating there really cared and was scared of the child, I believe who ever said it was acting on their own behalf.

It could have been a 15 year old kid, first day on the job, and as you say, with no sensitivity training. Obviously, it's really wrong, but I just think there may well be more to this story than we're hearing. My jury is out until the full report is in.

$30k doesn't pay her medical bills, but KFC didn't cause the dog attack. I think expecting them to pay for all her medical care would be excessive, when I suspect that firing an idiot or two and giving the family a nice gift will help the family and nothing more than time will help a little girl who is getting a really harsh lesson in how people can be idiotic and cruel.

Cynic that I am, I just don't trust this sort of media report. There are altogether too many murky motivations.

I'm sure Mississippi has it's share of nasty people. But this story sounds like, well, a story. Too many people with dogs in the fight, especially the writer.

I'm a cynic too. At this point all the stories still say 'allegedly'. And rightly so.

In all news reporting for any incident where there is an accusation against a perpetrator, even if there is overwhelming evidence, because they have not been convicted in a court of law reporters always say "allegedly". It is not intended to raise doubts about the story they heard. It's not an editorial comment.

It has gone out the window with all the political correctness that is running amok.
What? This makes no sense whatsoever. How does political correctness, which is intended to raise awareness of the diversity that exists and remove uncompassionate language, create a lack of compassion? Are you able to explain your logic here?

Oh, I know that. But in this case all I've ever been able to find was, 'Grandmother said' . No eyewitness account, no statement by staff, nothing. The only thing that seemed slightly relevant was another KFC franchisee saying he knew these owners, and in 50 years of ownership, they've never had a problem. If you find more, I'd be interested. :)
