Hallucinations are fine as long as one can distinguish them from reality. With a really tiny one.
I drink a little wine on weekends to mellow and feel good so technically yes. Alcohol equates to being drunk. Even if it's a slight buzz. So, in your mind, having a drink of alcohol = getting drunk. Is that right? There is no honorable reason to have a glass of wine?
And you support that?
Because it isn't true.
I don't want to get high and I don't think other people should either. This is the voice of experience talking.
I nevertheless oppose stupid and destructive wars, such as The War on USA citizens Who Use Drugs. We could better fix the underlying problems if it weren't for the stupid war.

I want cannabis to be legal but I have never used it and never plan to.
What are you talking about?Well, then it's a good thing that you are not in charge, isn't it?
People are adults; they get to decide what they want to do or not, regardless of nanny-types who wish to control everyone else's lives; but never their own... never that.
I've noticed the pro marijuana camp has no problem lying about marijuana so they can get high more easily, for instance the oft quoted BS about no one has ever died from smoking marijuana, obviously people have been so high that they got involved in fatal traffic accidents just like alcohol, though arguably less so. The there are lies about medical uses for marijuana that are just an excuse to get high, not to downplay the real medical uses of marijuana, which are not as great as the stoners would like us to believe.

Why don't people ever admit outright that they just want to get high outright instead of going through all this?
Planly put, "I want to be high".
Simple and short.
Like people who say, "I want to get drunk".

I've worked on a smokeshop counter for at least several years. Despite it containing all sorts of warnings and taxed to high heaven, you wouldn't believe the backflips the poor do to just to afford their precious ciggies. Or maybe you would.I'm just as against alcohol, I think the solution is high taxation of both pot and alcohol, they're too cheap, Its too cheap to throw your life away, if you really had to pay for the substances you might think twice about throwing your life away and/or practice some moderation.

I think marijuana should be legalized but taxed heavily, and I think the taxes on alcohol should be raised, everyone says moderation is the key, and not to abuse drugs or alcohol, well higher taxation will make that possible and easier to encourage, we already have high taxation on cigarettes, and they don't even get you high like alcohol or pot, I'm in favour of legalizing and taxing marijuana similar to cigarettes, marijuana is incredibly cheap if you want to use it in moderation, the only ones complaining about the price are stoners that smoke it 24/7. Marijuana is a considerably cheaper high than alcohol, it cost about $1 to get high on pot if you don't smoke all the time, alcohol cost like $4 to get drunk, the argument that everything should be legalized has big flaws, heroin is natural, should heroin be legalized, should we flood the market with cheaper heroin, same goes for marijuana, increasing the amount of marijuana smoked, and increasing the number of smokers should not be our goal, same goes for users of alcohol.
You've never known anyone who drank alcohol without becoming drunk?Alcohol equates to being drunk.
