What's it all about?

The 5 percents reason that there are three groups of people on this earth:
The 85%-The masses that blindly follow religion
The 10%- Those that know what they are teaching is false/unproven, yet still choose to mislead the masses
The 5%- The enlightened who realize we are the "gods" of our own lives; we can truly do as we please without divine consequence

(We don't believe those are the exact numbers, before some ******** says so.)

Another 5 percenter philosophy is that mathematics is the language of all nature, and in order to gain a full understanding of nature, we must do so by numbers (i.e. graphing natural occurences to figure out their patterns)

It is not a religious group, although we use the Muslim symbol of the star and crescent, and make references to "Allah". The Allah referred to is actually the founder of our organization who legally changed his name to Allah. Many of our members adopt god-like names, I guess you can call it a mockery of religion. We recognize religion as a man-made invention, and so see no problem in naming ourselves after gods, and calling eachother "god". We are an organization completely centered on scientific truth and community cohesion.

I've noticed that it's mostly an East Coast/ Chicago thing. I have yet to meet another 5 percenter outside of these areas, and only one outside the country, but he was from New York.

Interesting I've heard of the Nation of Gods and Earths before after doing research on the Nation Of Islam but never actually known anyone who was a member. If you don't mind a few questions to satisfy my curiosity: Do you guys still follow Clarence's core teachings? To what extent are his teachings based on the nation of Islam and maybe the occult; Crowley et al who also advocated a focus on the ego.

I see that unlike the NOI Clarence says all races are equal in being able to become Gods but that when he was arrested and placed in a mental istitution he was quoting the NOI philosophy that the white man is the devil... I'm not beyond believing the FBI framed him and locked him away and told lies about him being crazy or do you believe other wise?

The only ties we really have to the Nation of Islam anymore are the symbol of the star and crescent, and the concept of 360 degrees of knowledge (Our interpretation of those 360 degrees are different from the NOI's though, as we do not believe in God and Satan, or morality). We call these degrees the Supreme Mathematics, they are a list of qualities one must possess to gain a complete understanding of the universe. The Supreme Mathematics are the original teachings of Allah (Clarence) and are still followed. In the early stages of our organization, NOI guidelines were still followed, such as the practices of not eating pork, drinking, or smoking, and keeping the organization exclusive to African-Americans. None of these rules are required now, as our philosophy has progressed over time during builidng sessions, but we encourage our younger members not to drink or smoke. I don't know of any connection to the occult, I'll bring it up at my next building session and let you know though.
As for Allah's imprisonment, I don't believe he went crazy, or that he went back to the NOI philosophy. I believe it was a fabrication of the FBI to break the credibility of our organization. It worked pretty well, as many law enforcement offices label the NGE a criminal organization now.

Allah had a disagreement with the leaders of his local NOI temple, and could no longer accept the teachings of W.D Farad Muhammad. He broke off from the NOI and formed our organization to promote a more open-minded view than the NOI.

But isn't the NOI a form of radical Islam? How did it spawn an atheist philosophy?

Like I said, he disagreed with them lol. Allah did not accept NOI doctrine as the truth, and so broke off on his own to discover the truth for himself.

Very Interesting! I kind of believe something along these lines as well. In life you have to draw a line for your self. You have to say what your own limits are. Don't be afraid to question things.

I had always thought that the Five Percents were an offshoot of Islam. Have you ever encountered persecution by Wahhabi Islamists because of your personal beliefs?

That's a common misconception, one I'm always happy to clear up. I've never had any confrontation with a Muslim because of what I believe, it has escalated to the point of fist fights with Christians though, surprisingly.

So far I have learned that because 3/4th of the Earth itself is Covered by water, that Earths (female 5%ers) should also cover 3/4ths of themselves. I like the conservative ideal in this 3/4ths 'rule,' but most Earths in the NGE seem to cover their hair/head too.

The question is: Is covering one's hair (as an Earth) mandatory, or is that a personal choice based on personal interpretation and Knowledge? Can you still be a 5 Percenter girl and not cover your hair or head? Do all the girls at your meetings cover their hair?

The Earths I know don't even cover their bodies lol. It's all a personal choice.

The NOI is probably the most backwards "religious" group I've ever heard of. We are always quick to disassociate with them just as true Muslims are.
