Can I ask where you heard that?
I don't know of any connection to the occult, I'll bring it up at my next building session and let you know though.

I wanted to post the link including the quote, but I like this one better
The NGE started my questioning of faith entirely. I was sixteen and a friend of mine who was already a God asked me why I believe in what I believe in. I had never really thought about it before then; I had just kind of taken my religion for granted. All it really took for me to want to learn more.ISLAM, how did you get involved with the group? What drew you to it?
Another 5 percenter philosophy is that mathematics is the language of all nature, and in order to gain a full understanding of nature, we must do so by numbers (i.e. graphing natural occurences to figure out their patterns)
We are an organization completely centered on scientific truth and community cohesion.
I've never looked into Qabala, I always thought it was part of Judaism. I'll definitely check it out thoughBrother seeker,
Have you met the Tree of Life yet?
The Qabala is a complete alpha-numerical system that fully explains the mathematics of the Universe. The Qabalist uses a system to form mathematical correspondances between every thing, thus creating a interconnecting web that maps out reality.
The Tree of Life perfectly explains how Something can come from Nothing :thud:
As a Hermetic Qabalist and Thelemic Magickian I am by definition a 5% percenter
"The Method of Science, the Aim of Religion"
But isn't the NOI a form of radical Islam? How did it spawn an atheist philosophy?
Please start another thread to discuss the NOI and Islam, I'd like this thread to stay on topic. It is an interesting topic though, I'd be happy to add my input to another thread.NOI and Islam are about as far apart from each other as Jainism and theistic Satanism.
NOI usurped Islam to do it`s bidding, the only real point of comparison I can think of is that they both refer to their deity as "Allah".
Their theology is worlds apart.
All goodI.S.L.A.M, I apologize for derailing your thread, it was never my intent.
Anyone who wishes to contest/ discuss my remark on the NOI may do so in this thread: Nation Of Islam. I have edited the original post to include the link, as well.
I've noticed that it's mostly an East Coast/ Chicago thing. I have yet to meet another 5 percenter outside of these areas, and only one outside the country, but he was from New York.
