51% of scientists believe in God/higher power

This would seem to suggest that science doesn't prove or discount that there could be a God. Thanks for the link, it should come in handy when debating Atheists and evolutionists, because they tend to cling to science as evidence for their position.
That's what I've been trying to tell you all along.

How then when you haven't experienced evolution from a chimp to a man, you believe it when some guy says so? Your in-experience makes the story of evolution unreal, irrelevent . How can two forms at the extreme or at midway evolutionary ends still co- exist? How can we both have healthy chimps and healthy human beings, and none of them competing each other for survival? heck they dont even have the same habitat preferences.

Centuries of scientific study, museums and universities packed to the rafters with fossil evidences, libraries and mainframe computers full of archival evidences and peer reviewed work, and the entire scientific community across several disciplines tells us Evolutuion is a fact, not "some guy".

While pseudo-scientists have indeed attempted to prove God, real science doesn't even bother with the deity subject either way.

Science does, however, totally obliterate each and every myth and miracle within the Abrahamic religions, however, thus destroying any credibility for a biblical god.

the idea that science would 'obliterate' a story seems a bit daft to me

Biblical Creation?
Great Flood?
Adam and Eve?
Flat Earth?
Young Earth?
Geocentric Universe?
Sodom & Gamorah?

All examples of stories moved into the realm of pure fantasy by science.

Thats exactly my point. The largest 'gap' that you probably feel between logic to God is actually the largest 'amount' of faith a believing person embraces when he believes in God, and he feels that kind of love for God directly too. More poignant and ever growing.

LOL. I don't doubt that for a second. I rather just not jump blind gaps.

Meow Mix, calling people who don't believe as you do fxxx idiots is closed minded and disrespectful in my view. You can't have both ways - meaning you can't claim the intellectual high ground while you're in the gutter. Only idiots think of others as idiots.

Entirely untrue and a logical fallacy.

It is possible for a person who is not an idiot to believe another is.

What I think is funniest is that this was said:

Followed by:

Irony alert!

Haha but anyway, yeah, granted... calling someone an idiot isn't the most suave move. I wasn't looking to be suave though. Nor do I base my arguments on ad hominems. I could gladly write thoughtful and succinct points on why these folks are blatantly wrong, and therefore what caused me to call them "idiots."

If you think that, aren't you an idiot by your own definition?

Well, I never called anyone here an idiot. I thought we got over that whole sub-plot. I like this forum because I think folks here are intelligent and sincere in there beliefs. Peace.

Yeah we're all over it, it was just a funny bit of irony to point out. We're friends here though, it's all in good fun ;)

Glad to have you aboard.
