"A Complete Unknown" — Upcoming Movie About Bob Dylan

There's an upcoming biographical movie about Bob Dylan, and it will release in late 2024-early 2025:

The trailer featured "A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall," but I suspect the movie will feature more of Dylan's songs. If it includes "Like a Rolling Stone," I think I might internally freak out in excitement while watching. :D

I don't know whether any theaters will screen it where I live, especially since Bob Dylan isn't well-known or popular here. I hope some do, though, because I'd love to watch it in a theater.

Is anyone else looking forward to this movie?

Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea this was happening. Bio-pics often disappoint imo, but I’ll almost certainly watch this one nonetheless.

Having just read the link, this is about a very interesting period in Dylan’s career; he came to England in the 60s - a sort of reverse British Invasion - but his new electric line-up got booed by die-hard folkies. It was 10 years before he came back here.

I think some of his best songs came out in the '60s, especially when he became a de facto musical spokesman for the civil rights movement. I like that the movie is focusing on that period of his career.

I didn't know that his electric lineup got booed. That's pretty interesting. I guess he has nothing to regret about that in hindsight, though—especially not after winning a Nobel prize. :D

Yes true. I had a friend who was there. He was disgusted by their behaviour and thoroughly enjoyed the rest of the show.
