Usually I do not remember dreams, but last night I had one which still burns vividly in my memory. Actually, the mental image has only become more unsettling as I reflect on it.
The dream was a single scene where I saw a number of beings about various locations in my room from the viewpoint of my bed. The appearance of these beings was basically that of the typical "grey alien", each about five or so feet in height. These beings would first manifest into my view as an indistinct smoke or steam, before coalescing into a distinct form. And even then, there was something almost vapour like about them.
Their most sticking feature however was definitely their eyes. Their eyes emitted darkness. And the effect of looking into them was a chilling fear. But I wasn't terrified, and as I was looking into the eyes of the one I could see directly in front of me, falling deeper into its gaze, I wake up.
Now I don't seriously believe that I was abducted by aliens. (I do not believe in extraterrestrials). But the experience is definitely up there as being one of my most bizarre.
But it goes deeper, as I did have another dream a few years ago of being gripped on the face by a large grey hand with four long fingers. As I was being pulled towards the window on the other side of the room, I wake up. That dream has stuck with me too.
Take it for what you will. I'm just going to put it down as a nightmare myself, unless I have another one in the near future. Then I might have to consider talking to someone about these bizarre dreams.
