Well, I just got fired. Merry ****ing Christmas, right?

That is never a time that is easy to take. Especially the timing.

Sometimes. When things like this happen I see that it leads to other opportunities.

I hope a great opportunity arise for you quickly.

Good morning Susan, I guess to day you do not choose to be happy in the Spirit of the Season?

I see life does not have to be peaches and cream to be content with what we face.

It is interesting that God partnered me with a wonderful soul, who suffers Manic Depression. Yet she chose to greet all today with happiness, as a Baha'i.
All depression is not the same, nor do people suffer for the same reasons. I am okay today but not because I chose to be okay.

Peaches and cream? Do you have any idea what I face? Only God knows and that is my only solace.

People can choose how they behave but people do not choose how they feel; they are either happy or they are not.
Simply being a Baha'i does not guarantee happiness. That is very naive as well as disrespectful of people who cannot be happy for various reasons and through no fault of their own.

The Baha'i Faith will never grow of Baha'is maintain such uncompassionate attitudes. Do you ever wonder why the 'inactive' Baha'is are inactive? Does anyone really care?

People's life circumstances vary widely and I do not believe God requires us to be happy all the time, and it sure does not sound like God punishes people who are depressed.

“If once this life should offer a man a sweet cup, a hundred bitter ones will follow; such is the condition of this world. The wise man, therefore, doth not attach himself to this mortal life and doth not depend upon it; at some moments, even, he eagerly wisheth for death that he may thereby be freed from these sorrows and afflictions. Thus it is seen that some, under extreme pressure of anguish, have committed suicide.

As to thy husband, rest assured. He will be immersed in the ocean of pardon and forgiveness and will become the recipient of bounty and favour. “

May the reason for the Season be embraced by all who have come to Love the Spirit, which was Jesus the Christ.

It is at this time many Christians remember the birth of Jesus, who became known as the Christ, the Son of God, the Son of Man "For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost".

May we all find what we have lost in Christ.

Regards Tony

This Christmas night [Christ] bestowed peace on the whole world;
So let no one threaten;

This is the night of the Most Gentle One -
Let no one be cruel;

This is the night of the Humble One -
Let no one be proud.

Now is the day of joy -
Let us not revenge;

Now is the day of Good Will -
Let us not be mean.

In this Day of Peace -
Let us not be conquered by anger.

Today the Bountiful impoverished Himself for our sake;
So, rich one, invite the poor to your table.

Today we receive a Gift for which we did not ask;
So let us give alms to those who implore and beg us.

This present Day casts open the heavenly doors to our prayers;
Let us open our door to those who ask our forgiveness.

Today the Divine Being took upon Himself the seal of our humanity,
In order for humanity to be decorated by the seal of divinity.

Christ is Born!
Glorify Him!

Maybe that is our test Susan.

Sorting out what we find hard in life.

I cannot understand how what you said below is related to what I said above. How is that a test?
Maybe that is our test Susan.

For Baha'is everything is a test. Why can't they come up with any other explanations for suffering?
Maybe it is a test, or maybe not. Maybe it is just what was ordained by God for reasons unbeknownst to anyone.
