For those who believe in souls, do you believe that A.I. could become advanced enough to attain one?

Im an animist. Everything has a soulFor those who believe in souls, do you believe that A.I. could become advanced enough to attain one?

No I don't. And I also believe that human, plant, and animal souls are multiparted. Object souls not so muchI agree 100%. And I almost posted these exact words. One-to-one exact match. I changed my answer, because I think the OP is asking about an advanced soul similar to or more advanced than a human soul.
Do you believe that all souls are the same?

Well i could make it more complicated by breaking down how many parts a soul has and going in detail but it gets complicated way fast and we'd have to decided what method of breaking it down I would use: Kemetic, Norse, or my own way of breaking it down? Or another method that's more based on psychology? It'd be a huge essay...OK, so now you're making me rethink my answer about AI... hmmmmmm
Sure. As for everything having a soul, if a tree lost a branch, does it gain a new soul or does the tree lose a piece of its soul? If the branch had its own soul all long, what if the branch were broken into two? If everything had a soul, that implies soul and mind are separate things?@Father Heathen. Want me to break down parts of the soul then explain what parts an AI would or would not have?
I'll answer your questions then I'll wait till im off work to get into this subject of breaking it down which I probably wont do justice as there are whole books and hours long videos written on multiparted souls. Most of what folk think is a soul is just the consciousness. Moving from one body to the afterlife. But the way i think of a soul is a bit more complicated. To me a soul is the essence of what makes an object or being them/it. Mind in my book would be part of the soul but not all of the soul. The rest of the questions may be better answered after I am done with workSure. I don't believe in souls but if they existed, I'd see no reason why an AI shouldn't have one.For those who believe in souls, do you believe that A.I. could become advanced enough to attain one?
Not sure why not.For those who believe in souls, do you believe that A.I. could become advanced enough to attain one?
Your own.Oh and what method of breaking a soul down would you like for me to use? Norse paganism, kemeticism, or my own? I think Norse paganism would be the easiest but kemeticism would be easy too.
Nope. Needs to be an organic being. For those who believe in souls, do you believe that A.I. could become advanced enough to attain one?
Why?Nope. Needs to be an organic being.
I don’t think so. Not my definition of a soul, at least. For those who believe in souls, do you believe that A.I. could become advanced enough to attain one?
Because, you know, they're actually alive as opposed to an AI which is just a program. The soul/spirit is what animates our bodies and gives us our consciousness, as I understand it. There's probably other reasons I can think of, too. I don't believe AIs will ever be self-aware, anyway. Why?
