This is why the conversation has to end.
I never said anywhere in my post that my views were superior to anyone else's.

You said you did not understand what i said but had little trouble commenting on it.
Again, this is the reason that the converstion must end.
Whatever. I'm not sure what your issue is and why you feel to have to be mysterious about it.

I don't approve of or like this, but can't say anything except I wish her good luck.

Wouldn't that be rather transpecies? I mean changing from human to dragon!

But how can she still have goatee beard if she is on estrogen hormones?
Estrogen has zero effect on facial hair. Male-to-Female transsexuals have to undergo electrolysis to have their facial hair removed.
Once this ability is developed and used, then one can be considered human.
Even those with no or impaired empathy are human, and are very capable of being decent and good people. I am definitely empathy impaired, but it does not make me any less human.
Hideous. I consider people who do this sort of thing mentally ill.
You can consider it that, but the reality is is that she has far more courage and bravery than anyone who would dismiss her as "mentally ill."
I didn't know that Stalking Cat killed himself. That's very sad. He was a gentle soul. :(
It wasn't that long ago, and it was sad. According to one of his friends, the person who announced it as a suicide, said the he was troubled. But his actual cause of death was never officially released. It was only announced by this friend.

You are likely not so impaired.
Those of which i speak do not talk about these things.
There are many who do not know the meaning of the word.
For those it is weakness to even think like that.

Non-human animals have empathy, too.

The ability to develop empathy is something that the human species certainly has.
If one does not develop this and acts like an animal instead, i do not see how we could consider them to be on the same level as human.
If it is true that we have an animal nature, then i do not understand why is it so difficult to accept the notion that someone may act more like an animal than a human.
If someone is controlled by their animal nature then i would call them an animal.

Humans are animals. We're not outside of nature or the animal kingdom, we're just another species like all other species on Earth. We're not "more evolved" or whatever. That's not how evolution works. Human nature is animal nature.

Since animals have empathy too (eg, gorillas), are all that different?

There is something that i seem to be missing here.
I will back off on this for a time in order to re-evaluate my perspective.
I am getting a lot of opposition on this one.

Nothing new for me, but this is different.
I recognize the truth when i hear it and am not afraid to admit it.
So i am going to reconsider my position on this matter.

Because I have Asperger's, my ability for empathy is impaired. Those of us with this syndrome, the areas of our brain that deal with empathy are smaller and not as strong and capable as those without. We are much more likely to reach an understanding through systemizing a situation, that is, analyzing a situation to reach an understanding of what someone is feeling.

It's because we have witnessed other mammals displaying empathy, especially in social animals.

I did not know this. You see, even a so trans friendly gay like me who read hundreds of pages about transition may not know these things.
