A quick question about Christianity , homicide and afterlife

I'm humanist enough to pretend that I don't know what you mean by "Go ahead". And Christian enough to ask if you mean The Holy Spirit.

I have no reason to think that religious tenets like "Innocent children go to Heaven" are anything but fiction. I believe that killing them just deprives them and us of their beauty. That's because I consider the religious teachings I referred to as fiction.

Traditional Christians think I am wrong believing this.

Well perhaps I misunderstood what you were trying to say, but I took your earlier comment as a cynical challenge to a Christian's idea that --- (for example) "...since heaven is all that matters to you folks, why not end the lives of the children thereby guaranteeing them eternal life since they are pure and innocent now and may jeopardize their place in heaven if we let them become adults?"

And I responded, (paraphrase) --- clearly that is not what God would ever ask of us. Only the devil (that spirit) would encourage such warped idea of doing someone an "eternal favor."

Yes, killing children deprives us of their beauty and makes us evil. On that we agree.

But I do not agree that if a child dies he or she risks the fires of hell. I believe our merciful Lord welcomes them into heaven, Christian and non-Christian alike.

What would happen to an atheist like me, according to the Christian faith, if I am walking one day and for some reason someone kills me?
Am I sent for judgement, or heaven due to the inability to repent?
Or am I sent to hell?
Also, if I'm an atheist does that automatically mean that according to the Christian faith I'm going to hell, or is it up to God?

IF the answer is that I go to heaven, then regarding what Hitler did, did all those massacred by Hitler go to heaven? (So hypothetically, is Hitler their savior?)
IF the answer is that I'm off for judgement, then regarding what Hitler did, us there still a chance for him to go to heaven?
IF the answer is that I go to hell, can I take some painkillers?
Can't really say, that would make me judge, and I'm not the judge, Jesus Christ will judge.

No, you understood me quite well. That is exactly the challenge I meant to put out. What you didn't do was explain why I am wrong about traditional Christianity.
I was born, raised, and educated by traditional Christians. I know what is taught. I find it telling that they don't post in this thread.

So you're one of the heretical Christians who will respond to the OP. Why do you think Christianity taught this for so many centuries?

So what do we disagree about concerning little kids? Nothing. All we seem to be disagreeing about is whether Christianity means anything except what someone who calls themselves one means at the time.

I admit to still being confused . Especially by the first paragraph exchange between us. No Christian faith would ever suggest such a thing.

And what do you mean by "traditional Christianity?" That is too generic of a phrase and I do not know if you are talking about orthodox Catholicism, fundamentalism, Pentecostalism, Calvinism or Lutherism?

I can tell you this much. The way you are talking does not resemble Roman Catholicism to me in the least.

I cannot even tell what your main gripes are with this Christianity you disdain.

Just curious, why does the scenario have to be "if someone kills you"...why can't it just be "if I die one day, what will happen to an atheist like me, according to the Christian faith?"

That is for God to judge, although you've made it very apparent that Jesus never existed, so I mean...hey.

It is up to God, but again, you've made it clear that Jesus never existed.

Everyone will be judged based on what they know, not what they didn't know. Everyone will die eventually, it is just a matter of when and how..the point is to be ready once that time comes.

Only God can judge anyone.
