I believe in free will - that, as I see it, presumes that God will not intervene in our lives; after all, all that we do is as a result of our own thoughts, wants, and actions.
Might I suggest that your definition of Free Will is too broad. The Bible never teaches that God will not intervene in our lives. Rather, it is full of examples of God doing precisely that.
Some examples:
- God asking Abraham to sacrifice his son Isaac, and then providing a lamb as a substitute (Gen 22)
- God parting the Red Sea for Moses and the Israelites as they flee Pharoah (Ex 14)
- Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11)
Free Will is not our separation from God and His power. It is merely our gift to choose whether to follow or turn from God.
His peace and grace be with you.
