Unfortunately, your poll doesn't account for the gap between desire and opportunity. I'm not engaging in premarital sex but that doesn't mean I wouldn't if the opportunity presented it self. For all it matters, I'm not at all religious.

That said, while I don't draw a line at marriage, I do at "stable relationship" - I don't approve of one-night stands but have no problem with couples living together before or without ever actually getting married. Your relationship with your partner is the key, not a bit of paper from a priest or bureaucrat.

I've had sex twice...both times outside of a solid relationship. It's pleasurable, but I think it would be much more meaningful with someone you love. Personally, I wish I'd waited a bit longer. I've only been in love once and didn't have sex with that person.

And, if you care to share, please tell us how you feel about it; regret it, relish it, should have done more/less of it, etc.

*Oh yes, premarital sex means intercourse . . . . . . . in any form.

I chose option 3. I don't care to get married or limit myself to one partner. Most are good experiences and some are bad, but more of a "bit of a waste of time" bad than the petty regrets that most other girls seem to experience.
