This one worked. After I posted that, I switched my VPN to France, and then the other video worked, too.

I don't understand it. The same exact song is available to U.S. users on YouTube on multiple channels, and yet, for whatever reason, they decide that some should be made unavailable.

It's very strange. I have the same problems with US news sites (particularly local ones) who seem to think us dirty foreigners are not worthy to read their interpretation of the news.

My guess it's probably some strange bureaucratic rule that they have to follow, but I can't imagine what that might be. But nothing can ever really be totally blocked.

Very true. We get UK TV via satellite without problem. However we cannot (well we're not supposed to) get the same channels via the internet.
