A strange question to all in the forum :)

Spirit of Light

Be who ever you want
To state the experience of God as God "contacting you", would be completely inaccurate for me. This suggests a radically dualistic reality where God and myself are two separate guys, one who walks on two feet, and the other who rules from the sky, or something or other.

If you ask, have I ever experienced God, or the Divine? The answer is most certainly.

In no way. The correct way to describe it is I opened to Reality. I opened to what is there at all times, but blocked because I'd been looking into my own thoughts and ideas as the source of truth.

What I "hear" is the mind's understanding being illuminated through a vision of Truth. There is no need to hear audible words. You just see and know. Words get in the way. Consider it a transverbal Realization.

How we see the world opens up, and what we have seen every day previously, is now seen with the curtain pulled back. Luminous, is a good word for it. Radiant Love in every molecule of air, every blade of grass, every touch of the wind on your body, ever ounce of air in your lungs, you whole being and the whole world are united as the same Divine.

I think maybe the best way to put your question, is not did God contact you, but did you come into contact with the Divine from yourself?

Honestly, a really good answer to my questions :) Thank you for giving you understanding of this topic :)

G-d makes Himself known to each of us through many ways and via the multitude of blessings He bestows upon each of us each and every day. We just fail to see or hear Him doing this. In Torah it says it is impossible for a man to see the face of Him directly and live. G-d is so great that merely being directly in His presence is beyond our frail capacity. A worm that came into direct contact with the sun would stand a better chance of surviving than if we, with all our imperfections, were to suddenly directly stand before the awesomeness of G-d.

Nope, not as a specific, external being.
What I do experience is my feelings towards specific deities or the divine in general.
I "see" my main deity in everything, I feel its comforting presence around and within me.
But since I haven't ever really seen or heard them it is quite easy for me to consider them as nothing but personifications of parts of the psyche.

Have you ever been contacted by what you consider to be a God?
Yes.
In what way did you get contacted?
Perceptual experience.
Did you hear a voice?
No. But somehow I was made to know I was being 'visited', and that if I were afraid (I was only 6 years old at the time) it would stop. I was not afraid, and the experience continued for some time.
Did you see something or someone?
Yes/no. The world became 'transparent', and infused with a kind of light I have never seen before or since. There was the presence of intense love and pleasure directed at me, for my being. No messages, just this wonderful affinity.

I do not presume to understand this experience. I do not seek a repetition of it. I am grateful for it, as it was amazing and inexplicable, and very positive. It has helped me to avoid falling into the many god-delusions presented by religion, and I remain non-religious to this day. Though I do choose to trust in the existence of a "God" of my own understanding, and try to live accordingly.

I was only 6, and so could not have articulated this thought in my mind, but this is very close to how I experienced it. Physical reality became transparent, and infused with a kind of loving light-energy. I distinctly remember thinking about what the nuns in my kindergarten had told me: that "God is the green in the grass, the warmth of the sun on my face, and the gentle breeze of a summers day". And that is exactly how my experience began, with the awareness of the divine within the physical world around me, on a warm summer day. But then the physical world began to fade into a sea of 'divine light'. It was still there, and I was still in it, but through it all shined this light/love/energy. I didn't know what to do, so I sang to it. And I was loved all the more for doing that, it seemed.

Not sure how i shoud phrase this question but it go something like this.
And i want to say that i do ask with utmost respect to you and your experience.

Have you ever been contacted by what you consider to be a God I do not only speak about a Christian god here, If you in your view do feel it has been a God(or similar) who contacted you, my question is.

In what way did you get contacted ?
Did you hear a voice?
Did you see something or someone?

Anything you want to ask God ? I'm always communicating with God . God doesn't speak though it is more telepathic .

Yes. Can you ask God where my blood pressure monitor is? I haven't been able to find it since I moved.

I asked and God said he can only answer to you this because it is only you who will understand . God said you have to think and you will eventually receive the thought where you put it .

I've been in contact with God in several ways at various times. I often feel connectivity with Him day to day; I feel his presence and love. I have had two auditory experiences, once with advice for how to deal with grave evil and once when called for my first communion.

The most meaningful contact I've experienced though is ecstatic union. The physical world gone and my essence united with, immersed in, and suffused by the essence of God. It was wondrous.

Constantly. However, it's usually in some subtle way that I hardly notice until I stop and evaluate a situation. Most of the time it comes in the form of an answer to a question that appears when I least expect it from a source that is sometimes surprising. The answer is usually a guide along my spiritual path. Synchronicity on a cosmic scale sort of comes to mind.

My sense of God is really strange , If there is a problem I feel the need to fix then I think God gives me the answer . The answers are not from memory so therefore the answer comes from ............Additionally God did think people were clever but now God has changed Gods mind . God identified God to me and I explained God but nobody wanted to know God for real . God is so mystical .

If God or gods hadn't contacted me, I'd still be an atheist. I don't think it's true belief if you just try to will it out of words. There has to be some personal experience.
