True. If people wanted the proper description to be used, it would be a Constitutional Republic.I understand completely… but there is a big difference and wording is very important.

Funny on how so many despots and authoritarian out there like the word republic.Obviously, you and @Kenny are unaware of the fact that a "republic" is one form of "democracy":
re·pub·lic
[rəˈpəblik]
NOUN
- a state in which supreme power is held by the people and their elected representatives, and which has an elected or nominated president rather than a monarch.

However, if the US elects Trump, the USA is quite likely to cease to be a functioning democracy. All the signs are there. So not a great choice of candidates admittedly, but I hope the majority of the electorate will see where their duty to their country lies.Man I'm sick of Biden and his little "warnings".
The guy is a racist, self-righteous, self-important jerk with a massive hero/savior complex.
He's no better than any other career politician.
They also like the word "democratic":Funny on how so many despots and authoritarians out there like the word republic.
No question there are a lot of them. They also like the word "democratic":
"Algeria and Laos are officially named "People's Democratic Republic of Algeria" and "Lao People's Democratic Republic" respectively, while North Korea's official name is "Democratic People's Republic of Korea"
Oops, found some more:
These include states no longer in existence or who have changed their governmental systems and official names, (almost all Marxist-Leninist):
the German Democratic Republic (East Germany), the Somali Democratic Republic,[11] the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam), the People's Democratic Republic of Yemen (South Yemen), the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan and the People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.[12]
States which (as of 2022) use the term "Democratic Republic" in their official names also include many that do not hold free elections and have been rated as "undemocratic" or "unfree" by organizations that gave such ratings. Algeria,[13] Democratic Republic of the Congo,[14] Ethiopia,[15] North Korea,[16] Laos,[17] Nepal,[17] and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic[citation needed] do not hold free elections and are rated as undemocratic "hybrid regimes" or "authoritarian regimes" by the Democracy Index (The Economist).[18]

Interesting how you are afraid that following the Constitution will lead the USA away from being a Constitutional Republic. Not stating pro or against… but rather this statement is pretty much a fear tactic to sway people.
I am more concerned that we will not be a Constitutional Republic by the removing of a political opponent by the use of twisted legislation.
Well, in this case, Trump did actually attempt to thwart democracy so ... yeah.Isn't the OP about him warning America about how Trump threatens democracy again?
The guy has spent his entire political career blubbering on about threats to society and the country. Typically he punches down at people who aren't actually threats and paints a picture of a society that is a lot more dangerous than it actually is all for political gain. The guy is a twat.
Trump and MAGA people are a pretty easy target now that they've been rounded up and had the judicial system beat up on them.
He did his job in 2020 by getting Trump out of office - most likely permanently. Now Biden really needs to go away. He's from a long lost era. Whoever succeeds him hopefully is younger and more in touch with what society is today.
Yes. Obviously. Why the rhetorical question?
Why inaccurate?

No one is doing that yet. The Republicans are threatening to do so.Not stating pro or against… but rather this statement is pretty much a fear tactic to sway people.

By ... subverting it .. ?He was trying to save democracy from itself LOL
(I don't know why I think this comment is funny or how much I actually believe in it - I'm really sleep deprived and have stuff going on; so forgive my stupidity)

It's obvious that they'll use the word "democrat" or "democracy" whenever it's useful to deceive.True. If people wanted the proper description to be used, it would be a Constitutional Republic.
If following the constitution was such a big concern, there would be actual outrage at the idea that the constitution (according to many democrats) should be tossed out and re-written.Interesting how you are afraid that following the Constitution will lead the USA away from being a Constitutional Republic.
Good! Because it's a Republic that needs to be saved.Well, in this case, Trump did actually attempt to thwart democracy so ... yeah.
He was already elected and was president for 4 years. The "democracy" is still functioning. However, if the US elects Trump, the USA is quite likely to cease to be a functioning democracy. You seem to have forgotten about January 6th.He was already elected and was president for 4 years. The "democracy" is still functioning.
Your prediction has already been proven by history to be nothing more than scare-mongering.
