Abortions used in medicine

One wonders what is below the tip of this iceberg.

What was it you wanted to discuss?
Reading the article, I think illegal abortions and the dangers that they present to the women taking them, where legal ones aren't available.

Or something else that's in subject header, but not in the paper.

Isn't anyone concerned about the fact that they can't even spell fetuses yet they think they should be writing about them?

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...
I was expecting the old PRATT about aborted foetal tissue being an ingredient in vaccines, so at least it wasn't that.

Sorry? Perhaps you're being humourous but 'foetuses' is the correct spelling in England and the British Commonwealth.

It raises the question of what should be done with foetal material and even still births.
It could perhaps be offered to the parents, and in some cases probably is. But what then?

I rather think all unwanted hospital waste, human or otherwise, should be burnt... and if that is in the hospital incinerator, so what?

But surely atheist biologists would think it a terrible waste to burn all those stem cells?
And seeing as though this would raise the ire of the ethical question of cannibalism,
would they not use those stem cells surreptitiously?
And would that not create a black-market?
And what is the motive for storing corpses in a freezer?

New foetal material has not been used in research for some years.
These days it is all grown on from early samples.
Most other stem cells are harvested fom the adults it is to be used on, so that the tissues match.

Most stem cell work is done in countries where it is perfectly leagal.
Equally most american research is done in foreign locations.
