Abrahamism

Hello there my fellow theist, lately my mind has been all over the place and it has compelled me to write down seven laws.

The seven laws of Abrahamism , a mixture of the main three Abrahamic faiths Christainity, Islam and Judaism. Personally I have been raised by both Christainity and Islam and have always felt both religions have many truths in them that must be recognized and that I could never settle with supporting only one of them. So I chose to start a new movement of Abrahamic faith aptly titled Abrahamism and wrote these seven laws I felt all people should follow.

The Seven Laws of Abrahamism

1. No man rules above God, in Abrahamism the hierarchy is simple. The priests rule their churches like kingdoms but what is a king to a God? Important yes but in the eyes of God we're all equal even from the highest king to the lowest criminal.

2. There are three main messengers of God, Moses the Savior, Jesus the Son and Muhammad the Conqueror. These three men spread Judaism, Christianity and Islam under one banner, the banner of God. In Abrahamism we respect all of their teachings and treat what works they left us as the word of God.

3. One should never be afraid of their faith, under no circumstances should you circumvent your views in the face of danger or struggles because even if death is the consequence of your actions your future will be protected by God and you will join your brothers and sisters in heaven.

4. Love all even if they do not share your beliefs, love thy neighbor even if they're a sinner and never wish ill will to those around you.

5. Help those less fortunate then you as Jesus once did, as Jesus once fed the poor and healed the sick you must do the same in order to walk in his footsteps.

6. Pray daily to our God even in times of chaos, it's of the utmost importance for us to maintain a connection to our lord in heaven at all cost or else we succumb to our mortal vices.
7. Remember there is no God, other then our God.

Thank you for your time

So...basically neo-Islam.

I am not aware of that movement but I apologize if it seems like I plagiarized their work.
I'm saying that this is basically what you've created. A more Christian accepting version of Islam.

Instead of five pillars of Islam, you call them five laws - even though not all of them are actually "laws"(see the first, second and seventh). "Pillars" would probably be more appropriate.

In addition to that, you've only accepted the range of messengers that Islam accepts. You don't include the Bab or Haile Selassie, even though both Baha'i and Rastafari are Abrahamic religions.

The lack of Baha'i and Rastafarian ideas is mainly because I do not recognize those as legitimate, personal opinion here.

Although I do see your point about the whole laws and Islam thing, but I like the name Abrahamism because it feels more inclusive then Neo-Islam which makes it sound more like a new sect of Islam then something all people can join.

Greetings.
If any religion of Judaism, Christianity, or islam, isn't ''Abrahamism'', it's islam, in my opinion. Remember that islam does not accept the versions of the 'Torah/Tanach, /and of course the NT as well.

"Abrahamism" already exists as an umbrella term describing the collective culture and lore of Judaism, Chirstianity, and Islam...

However, I learned yesterday from a Muslim in my class that Muslims don't believe that Jesus is the Son of god (in other words, the nature of Jesus is divine as his creator). They specifically believe him, Moses, and other abrahamics not just Judaism as prophets of god not sons. That, and I agree with what Tumah said, that there are other religions of abraham besides Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. If you don't accept the other religions, by what means do you name yourself abrahamic? That's a confusion in terms, from how I see it. Hard to understand.

If this is the wrong thread I posted in, apologies. Just let me know first and I'll delete it. Thanks.

Not important enough yet (if ever), but if given state patronage by various nations, a new light will shine?
If it is the will of kings.
