ACLU - Friend or Foe to America?

And that's as close as we're going to get to RomCat admitting his error. As I say, his credibility is his business, and he doesn't seem to have much interest in it. Let's explore it a little further:

RomCat: Can you cite a court holding that the BSA practices good discrimination?

There is good discrimination and there is evil discrimination. The BSA practices good discrimination as has been determined numerous times by the Courts.
I'd call that a radical interpretation, at best. The courts have determined that, as a private organization, the BSA has the right to discriminate. They have made no value judgment on the nature of that discrimination.

The courts ruled no such thing.
The only thing the courts ruled was that the BSA discriminate.
The court made no comment on good or bad discrimination, whatever that may be.

Stop making things up as you go along.
It makes you look desperate.

I'll concede the use of the term "discrimination" in the sense that we all practice discrimination everyday (i.e. do we want the hard top or the convertible on the car we purchase).

In the context that you are using the term, however, the issue is your use of the adjective "good". You see the discrimination as "good" because it supports a bigoted, intolerant view of the world, and perpetuates the ignorance and stupidity by trying to indoctrinate young people into that same hatred.

The courts, on the other hand, have made no judgement on the value of that discrimination. You have been told this (repeatedly) in this thread, but apparently you are incapable of understanding the ruling of the court.

Of course, all of this is really moot - because (in my opinion) you are really a troll that doesn't care what is being explained to you.

RomCat:

Everything about your post was in error. The ACLU didn't get anyone kicked out of anywhere, they just represented litigants in a lawsuit. No one was kicked out of anywhere; they just had to pay full rent. It wasn't for saying any prayer anywhere, it was for discrimination that violated federal law. Well, there was something right; the suit did involve the Boy Scouts, the ACLU and a park.

Now that you know you were wrong about the facts, does that change your opinion?

Yep. I think they're a pretty good friend if they back you after you bash them for years such as Rush Limbaugh and Jerry Falwell when they went crying to the ACLU.
