There have now been FIVE ACORN tapes released, from five ACORN offices across the nation, and the journalists say that they have more. They have been releasing a tape per day.

They're getting funnier and funnier. Yesterday's release, from a San Diego office, ends with the ACORN guy (who offers to help them smuggle underage prostitutes from a foreign country through Tijuana into the US since he has connections there) asking the "prostitute" how much she would charge for a weekend!

Can't wait to see more!

OK. Let me get this straight. Some people at ACORN screwed up and that's reason for both the House and Senate to vote to cut off funding for the organization?

Also, the banks and major financial institutions screwed up, plunging the world into a recession, and that's reason to give them a taxpayer funded bailout?

Why the discrepancy? Is it because ACORN helps the poor and the banks help the rich? Or is there some other reason one group gets punished for screwing up and the other group is deemed worth bailing out?

ACORN doesn't support those. Did you miss where the employees were fired? Did you miss how ACORN is doing an internal review and retraining?


However, just because you said something I found interesting...

I'm, of course, against child sex slaves.

Illegal immigration, in theory I'm against, but it's near impossible for most people from Latin American (just as an example, other places it is hard to as well) countries to immigrate legally... so that kinda throws a wrench into that.

However, prostitution, where the sex workers are consenting and there are safe-guards for their health and protection along with safe-guards for the health of the clients... well, why is that unforgivable?

For you enoch, National debt went up when republican presidents were in office, because they foolishly lowered taxes without balancing the budget. Now Obama is going to do his health care plan, which will be the biggest source of spending in the government. That could potentially (sp?) cripple our budget. If he passes the health care plan without trimming down the budget, cutting funding to things that dont need to be funded, and starts to lessen funding, then our debt is going to skyrocket.
