Advantages of Monotheism Amongst Religions

Many people say that there Monotheistic Religion is the true religion, when it can actually be said that they are all just naming god in different ways. Allah, Yahweh, God, Lord, all are just different varients of the ways that we name the Divine Creator.

This is true, in fact Muslims are (if i'm not mistaken) the only ones to admit that their god(allah) is the same exact god that christians and jews worship. I may be wrong on this though, maybe someone with a better understanding of the bible could help here.

Same God?; yet Koran, Bible and Jewish scriptures teach completely different stuffs?
The "stuffs" you speak of are different levels and aspects of God.... or they are not.... but we all try to serve the one true God, creater of the world and our judge on the last day.

God cares more about our love for Him than our perfect understanding of a book or religion.

And that exact "love" leads to sucide bombers and bloodshed in so called holy land. Desires of any sort can only lead to suffering isn't? including the "love" for God

We are frail, weak, and sometimes rather dumb in the way we try to return the love we have for God. Don't forget too that the suicide bombers are radical extremists who are misguided...........Many of their own faith denounce their acts.

Having said that, I did see a programme recently which addressed the real problem - Do Muslims feel it is their duty (by fair means or foul)to convert the entire world to Islam ?..............In some ways, it seemed to fit the case.

So, was exactly is the advantage of Monotheism, and what does it have an advantage over? Every other form of theism, or just one of them?

And to the OP, what does "advantage" even mean? It seems to be that you're assuming that monotheism and its alternatives are equally worthy except for this "advantage" you refer to (whatever it is), which would imply they're all equally wrong. If you're going to choose a theistic model, why not base your decision on what you think is true, not what you think is most "advantageous"?

It has advantage in the fact that one can assimilate other sects, as they all believe that there is one god, sure, it has different twists, but still, all the same basics. Also, on something completely different, suicide bombers take a phrase about Catholisism to a different level, instead of The Blood of Martyrs is the seed of the church, the blood of martyrs is the seed of the mosque.

That's not necessarily true. There is plenty of evidence that certain cultures that were polytheistic had overlaps with other cultures (the Greeks and Romans is one of the most obvious). The big three monotheistic religions do share some common traits, but they couldn't be morphed into one without it being a totally different religion.

I also don't understand why that's an advantage.
