Grandparents,Parents,Teens,Kiddies,

We have all loved the Adventures of Tintin. These have been available for a few years online on DVD.Google and bring back happy memories. They have been 23 plus adventures.
Note : Herge has been accused of being racist.Rubbish.The objection was chiefly by Russians objecting to Tintin take on a free USA and a then USSR where the state and security services ruled the population.

Especially if you have kids Watch Watch Watch. The cartoons are artistic works and the scripts intelligent.

The books are what you should read. I consider Capt. Haddock a role model for beleaguered middle-aged men everywhere.

Not that it's a big fuss, the objections have been over the portrayals of Africans in Tin Tin in the Congo. Some of his portrayals of Asians have been objected to as well.

Nobody cares what ever the Soviets objected to with his portrayal of the Soviet Union. Maybe he portrayed some Russian characters unfairly. I really don't remember much about Tin Tin in the Soviet Union.

Yes, one has to remember that RG was a man of his time and the early stories were published in the 1930s. They do contain racial stereotypes but that was normal at the time.

Uhh yeah.
Most books from the past have depictions that are now considered racist or sexist or what have you.
That’s just how art often works. What was considered okay in one era might not be in another. So?
