I have heard and seen evidence that indicates that conviction of economically disadvantaged white people is close to that of black people. Poverty may be a big part of the answer. If we can find a way to help everyone live a bitter life then that might go a long way towards solving this problem. Wage and employment disparity leads to unrest.
I would say encouraging and lifting people out of poverty goes a long way toward freeing them from criminality and issues with police. Sadly, too often leftists want to see people stay trapped, rather than set free.
“As so much despair has gripped our nation during this difficult time, I decided to go into our nation’s most distressed communities with a message of hope and truth.
I have been working on policy issues dealing with race and poverty through my organization, UrbanCURE, for 25 years.
We purchased billboard space in hard-hit cities across the nation and posted a short, time-tested message that strikes at the heart of what drives poverty.
The billboards show a picture of a young black man or young black woman and say: “Tired of Poverty? Finish school. Take any job. Get married. Save and invest. Give back to your neighborhood.”
“The impact of the “success sequence” on poverty is well documented.
Brookings Institution scholars Ron Haskins and Isabell Sawhill published their findings in their book,
Creating an Opportunity Society, in which they report that those who follow three steps — finish high school, get a full-time job and get married before having children — face a 2 percent chance of being poor.”

“The Democrat Party has exploited Black America for more than 60 years. Democrats have honed pandering to a fine art, as they have continued to promise this and pledge that, year after year — decade after decade. From the establishment of Lyndon B. Johnson’s War Poverty — now in excess of $33
trillion and counting — the statistics of Black urban America are bleak; as Dr. Williams duly noted.“
“The ugly little secret is this: the Democrat Party as we know it would cease to exist if urban Blacks were to heed the words of Walter Williams; avoid out-of-wedlock births, particularly among very young women; pursue an education as a steppingstone out of spiritual poverty; work to achieve a life better than the one they’ve known.”
