and while we may or may not have anything in common, we are people who love to discuss it none the less! :yes: I love to talk about politics, religion, science, and everything in between, but I have noticed many people dont, so I set out to find folks who do. and here I am

I am married, with a 4 year old (almost 5). We live a "normal" suburban life. Nothing exciting to tell there. I was raised a Christian, but eventyally found my way to Paganism when I was around 17 or so. (29 now). Recently though, having gone back to school and following a plan to become a science teacher / professor()() questioning...everything. Its really hard to beleive in God with the information available about evolution, and the big bang.. etc etc.. I am not starting a debate, just letting you all know where I am at, so that if I make seemingly contradictory statements, you can be sured that its because I find myself in the midst of "paradigm shift" if thats the proper way to use that phrase.

I look forward to being able to explore it with you all. I have been lurking for a couple of days and thought it was time to say hi.

Welcome Stash. I'm currently a stay-at-home mom to two girls (now five and eight). I did the science career before kids...hope to get back to it some day, or to something equally interesting and enjoyable. But for now I'm happy to be home growing my kids.

Welcome! Your reasons for coming here are the same for me. In fact you sound a lot like me...except for the whole being a mother thing, as I'm not a woman and I don't have kids...

Well, when one is a member of a forum, thats indicative that you want to discuss something. If you dont want to discuss something, by all means, keep quiet.

:p Ithink you are joking, but just to clarify, I meant people who have the same interests.. even if different viewpoints or ideas..

Someone has already gotten their nickers in a twist over what I said, so i just want to make sure everyone knows what I meant.

His quote wasn't meant for you. It was meant for mball. OutOfTime needs to quote so that we know whom OutOfTime is referring too.

I did laugh when I read the "people like you" but then i got nervous.. being new and all, I dont want to **** someone off right away!
