Alabama Supreme Court declares frozen embryos are legally children

That is a good point, most embryos don't survive the implantation. We can't do that to children.
If they can't legally be implanted, then they
must be either frozen or thawed.
It's illegal to freeze a person, but to thaw
them would kill them, which is murder.
The state appears to have made transporting
them to another state illegal.
I wonder if the only legal option is to give
custody of all embryos to the state, who'd
then be able to make which every choice
kills or likely kills them. The state can do
this because of legal immunity.

Dang. Law can get complicated.
Complying with it even more so.

And there it is. Whether they realize it of not this ruling just outlawed IVF entirely. You can't freeze children.
I expect that they'll be changing many laws, eg....
- Allowing freezing of only very young persons.
- Eliminating schooling & vaccination requirements
for frozen children.
- Persons under 1 oz in weight don't qualify for high
occupancy lanes on highways.
- Loosening zoning & building code requirements
for frozen persons.
- Eliminating stop-&-ID requirements for frozen persons.

The list goes on & on.

But if I recall correctly, Justices are required to swear on the Bible to uphold the Constitution, not to swear on the Constitution to uphold the Bible. Did he swear falsely? My goodness!
As we saw justices vote on Roe v Wade contrary
to their congressional testimony, it's possible
that Christians will lie in order to serve their faith.

Alabama Lawmakers Move to Protect I.V.F. Treatments

It seems that the main reason for the extreme position taken by the Alabama Supreme Court was its desire to make all abortions illegal, not to prevent IVF pregnancies. However, if it is legal to kill embryos during such a procedure, then how can it be illegal to abort an embryo or fetus, on the grounds that those are legal persons being killed? Anti-abortionists are going to have trouble threading the needle on this one, because their position is ultimately illogical. For many, it is just grounded in their religious doctrine, which they apparently believe should be imposed on everyone, not just believers.

It's not mandatory to swear on the Bible here in da States.

Yes, Trump has just told them to. Like abortion (that he wants to de-emphasize) and immigration (that he doesn't want to have fixed - yet) he is more interested in the effect an issue might have on his re-election chances that its rights and wrongs.
