Alcohol versus Marijuana: Which is Better?

Both if done in moderation are fine. I can't think of many (any?) drugs or substances in general where "heavy use" is a good (or neutral) thing.

Obviously if you are filling your lungs with smoke on a daily basis, some harm will come. Same goes for dousing your liver in ethanol.

Of the two drugs, alcohol and marijuana, which is best for society? For users? Which is worse for society? For users? Why?

I've never heard of a marijuana smoker who went home and beat the wife and kids. Neither have I ever heard of a marijuana smoker so hard up for a joint s/he robbed a liquor store for the money to buy one. The worst case scenario, I think, is the marijuana smoker can't find the Oreo cookies (they've probably forgotten they've eaten them).

Alchol is definately the worst of the two. Personally, I believe alcohol should be illegal and marijuana legalized. But we know how poorly prohibition worked, right?

from experince of both i would have to say marijana is better when drinking people act like morons and a few people become violant. when smoking most people just want to relax an watch a movie. or play music. I see nothing wrong with that. If it controled rite it would cause less crime.
