Two things argue against:

The majority of life forms would be primitive eg bacteria
The advanced life forms including humans on earth have set life spans as a species.So those on external planets would cease or not survive to visit earth.

No it didn't. The study was entirely about theoretical models for this kind of travel (albeit at sub light speed).

Putting it behind an MSN aggregation link doesn't hide the fact that the actual source of the article is a standard trash click-bait site, who tacked in a single vague reference to "scientists hinting" about aliens to justify their headline.

Please, spend the minute or so it takes to actually click through links and find the primary sources rather than falling for headlines designed to appeal to the small minded. You can be better than that.
