All Ethics, Morals are Biased, Self-Serving. Exhibit 2 - The Dog and the Cow

*banned*
India passed a law banning killing cows for meat and the western media threw a fit!
Article after article was all about Muslims - suddenly India became a Muslim country - it was all about how they were hurting, how they hated this law, why it was so wrong etc etc
The majority Hindus had no say in this
In our own country we were not allowed to put forward our view
The western media talked down to us - it was like we were still a colony, the white man will decide what is good for us
And the white man has decided that the cow was a food animal. period. No discussion allowed!
While India is about 40% vegetarian, quite a lot of people when you consider the size of the population, in fact there might be more vegetarians in India than the rest of the world combined, but that still left 60% of the country that ate meat and had no problem with eating cow meat and were opposed to the law
First the 40% vegetarians did not show up in ANY of the articles written on this subject, it was like they didn't exist at all!
But even the 60% of meat eaters, if they were Hindu, opposed to the law, did not show up either!
It was ALL Muslim - Muslims this, Muslim that - Muslim hate this, hate that
.
Why not? Why not give the 60% of Hindu meat eaters a chance to speak against the law? Say it is not right? Why shut them out?
And believe it or not, there are quite a lot of Muslims who are vegetarian and actually supported this law
Yes vegetarian and against the suffering of animals - go figure!
You see the problem here - by writing a balanced article, it would make Hindus and Muslims look human
Just as in any country where with any law there are dissenters and promoters, there were Hindus who opposed this law and Muslims who were fine with it
But that won't promote religious hate, would it?
The only way to promote religious hate is to make use of the broad brush, and hence ALL Hindus love this law, want it imposed to hurt Muslims!
Those evil Hindus! And of course poor Muslims, all they wanted was some meat to feed their families!
In the 21st century, the leading media in this world, were actively promoting Religious hate!
.
But wait, what if we changed the animal from a cow to a Dog!
Presto! A 180 degree turn!
Now it is the people who see the Dog as a food item that are the evil people
And just as in the previous instance - they got shut out!
Now it was those opposed to eating dogs that got ALL the Press!
How it is wrong to eat this poor animal, animal suffering, how they were kept in cages, brutally killed etc etc
.
yep just a change in a word - from Cow to Dog and a 180 degree turn in our morals, values
Just as we changed when the word was changed from Caste to Royalty
.
And of course both Jews and Muslims find Pigs to be unclean and ban the killing of Pigs in countries where they hold power
And of course in the US and other western countries, killing Dogs and cats for meat is illegal
The western media had no problem with these bans - but got all high and moral with India
.
We are this easy, our morals and values can be bent this easily
